This course was a blast. Dont understand some of the reviews. Love the mountain courses. If you are playing a true mountain course, it shouldnt be a surprise to have some narrow fairways here and there. Only a few fairways felt tight and Im a guy that tends to spray my driver. I thought the design and layout of the course was great. A few holes are like a video game with some crazy elevation changes, but it added a lot of fun to my shots and some incredible opportunities for some scenic views and photos. The greens are definitely challenging, but who likes completely flat greens. Test your putting skills and ability to read greens here and it will improve your game later. There were only a couple of greens where I felt my three-putt was due to the undulations of the greens, but thats why you need to place shots and test your game. If you are playing any mountain course for the first time (or a handful of times) and think you are going to shoot your best score, youre crazy. The significant elevation of the course took a little bit to figure out how much club to move down. Staff was really great. The four stars instead of five is just because of the lack of warm-up/practice area. The only other negative is lack of GPS in the carts. I always feel that for a resort course, you should get a GPS. If you want to have some fun with a round of golf, this is the place. Discount available if you are staying in one of the nearby resorts (Literally across the street from a few... I could walk to the course).

Stupidest golf course Ive ever played no question. The clubhouse is in the snack bar in the hotel which requires an elevator ride to get to. Parking requires a valet at the hotel and there are pretty much no practice facilities. But that can all be over looked, the course cannot. The greens are way too slopey and gimmicky. Imagine hitting a putt the right speed but because it doesnt go into the hole it speeds down 40 feet away off the green. Thats the story with much of the course. There are too many par 3s and theres a par 5 that is nearly driveable because of the length and elevation change from tee to green. The design is just unimaginably silly. I give this course one star because its a rip off at $90. If it were half price, id maybe understand. I feel bad for anyone suckered into playing what is easily the dumbest golf course youll find anywhere.

While I completely understand why not everyone feels this way, I love Canyons Golf course. It has extreme elevation changes, fast and undulating greens, blind approaches, and spectacular views. All of which make it one of the most fun, interesting, and yes, difficult, golf courses in Utah. I believe the key to an enjoyable experience is to play the proper tees for your ability. Dont let the total yardage deceive you, at just over 6,000 yards from the tips, it actually plays much longer because there are 7 par 3s. Come here if you want to be challenged and enjoy the mountain surroundings, but dont come expecting to shoot your career low round.

People rating this course low because its greens are tough and fairways are narrow should just go play miniature golf. Yes this course is tough and challenging but IMHO thats golf. This course actually makes you manage your game and makes you actually play smart, not just rip it every shot. I love it here and if I only had one complaint is thats theres no driving range to warm up on because believe me, you need to be on your game here. Beautiful views, some crazy elevated holes and an overall fun time.

The golf course from hell !. The most ridiculous design I have ever seen. The greens are just plain crazy. Hit a good shot and hope it stays on the fairway. Hit a good approach and wonder why the heck it didnt stay on the green. I play many mountain courses in Colorado that are fun and challenging , sadly this course is laughable. I am at a loss to further explain this course: it is that bad ! It would be interesting to have the design explained by someone while keeping a straight face.

I found the course very enjoyable. The greens were undulating but slow enough to hold approach shots. The fairways are tight, so hit a club you are comfortable hitting straight. The views are breathtaking from some of the higher elevations. Lots of bunkers, so be careful on your approach shot as well as tee shot. Grass in the fairways is still coming in on some holes, but should be fine by summer. All in all, a great experience.

Love this course. A great staff greets you, Justin, Scotty, Kevin, Franklin and Nicholas are all the best. A challenging course with spectacular views of Park City and surrounding mountains. The course has been greatly improved over last season from the fairways to the updated greens, its in great shape. Youve got to experience their signature hole #10, teeing off a cliff to the fairway below. Highly recommended.

Played lots of mountain courses. Canyon Golf is rank one of the best, if not, the best. Its a very challenging course but the views are spectacular. Make sure to bring extra golf balls. Hole #4 and #10 breathtaking views will make you stop for a few minutes for a nice picture taking and make you wonder. I would highly recommend this and definitely will come back.

The course is really fun to play. Hole #s 3, 4, and 10 are spectacular from the tips. My favorite third, fourth, and tenth holes in Utah. One of my favorite courses to play in the state. Ive only played it twice due to the higher price. If they allow walking this course, youd have to be crazy to try. The course is a 10/10 but the price hurt my rating.

One of the most fun rounds Ive played. A little narrow but not too long so I choked down on my driver to hit some shorter, straighter tee shots. Fun holes with elevation changes. Scenery is awesome. Course was in excellent shape. Greens were hard, had to play for not being able to stick anything but I thought blputts rolled true.

I LOVED THIS COURSE!! Every time I actually hit a good shot it would bounce 50 yards away form the pin and an up and down is impossible. The greens all have at least 3 tiers with a rock hard putting surface. I highly recommend this course if you like to shoot 100 and have 50 putts!!!! Will never be back

This course should not be rated as low as it is. It is in great condition for a public course and the scenery is excellent for all eighteen holes. Like other reviews have mentioned, the first nine holes are not easy or forgiving golf, but the course is definitely worth playing.

This is unbelievable golf course. 3.7 stars is nonsense. Friendly stuff. Amazing views ( I am from Colorado, but always amazed by mountains).Go play! But play smart- a lots of placements shots. Greens ate slow , amf fair if you know that prior your round.

What a fun but difficult course. Had a blast twice this week. Great shape and great service. Greens are really tough but part of the experience. Dont use the driver much. Loved it and will play again if back in Park City.
