If you like traditional and historical you will love the Empress. Driving down old Main Street Magna in the evening with the nostalgic street lights and finding the EMPRESS lite up in a very early 20th century fashion is like turning back the clock. I would consider this a little like an off Broadway theater. A place to find new fresh talent, a place where energetic new performers are anxious to get noticed and recognized, a place where the local community can take pride to adding a venue for culture for their families and friends. Every performance I have seen continues to build my confidence that we have amazing local talent and a place like the Empress is a great place to share it with Utah.

This is the very definition of a community theater. All of the volunteers are friendly and courteous and want you to have a great time, which I usually do when I attend a show there. They have the cheapest concessions this side of the valley, too, which is a plus.

It is an aged theatre, renovations have been made and the seating and sound seems to have recently been upgraded. Overall it is a quaint little theatre that releases quality productions.

The Empress reminded me of the old Hale Theatre. I was very impressed with the production we saw. However, they will need to get the air conditioner fixed sooner than later.

We just saw peter and the star catcher. I enjoyed it alot. It was a great production, acting superb and choreography fun. The mermaid costumes were some of best I have seen.

Great community theatre in "the round" Mostly local talent in a very historic theatre on Magnas Historic Main Street. Come on out and enjoy a show, you will be pleased.

Just saw Agatha Christies "And Then There Were None" at the Empress. Absolutely amazing performance! The Empress Theater was perfect for this type of show.

Cool theater. Strange seating layout. I saw Joseph and Princess and the Pea there. Both productions were excellent. The theaters history is pretty cool.

Pretty good plays but terrible parking. Arrive an hour earlier or walk over there. People here are very kind.
