I enjoyed my first time at the Quarry but my most recent trip on 5/3/08 was a major disappointment. To pay $117 to play behind a LULAC tournament on a SATURDAY is inexcusable. Most golf clubs dont schedule Saturday tournaments so why should a highly visible course do such? I had to call the pro-shop to get the course marshal to encourage these tournaments players to play faster - we had 3 groups back up on one hole (#12) because of this tournament. They advertise that you should be able to play in 4 hours and 15 minutes - nonsense (5 hours of painfully slow golf behind this tournament). The front nine was OK but all the greens obviously had been top-dressed within the past few weeks and were very bumpy and could not hold the line. However, to pay $117 to play amidst the fertilizer-laced grass seed (which was used in VERY large areas of the fairways on the back nine) was like playing into sand traps. It was incredible that they did not offer a discount because of the poor course conditions. Also, $3 for a 20 oz cola? I will not be back!

When we walked in, the guy behind the counter asked, "Do you want to check in, or something?" Being that we were about to spend over a thousand dollars, I would think the service would be a little more top notch. The Marshal was not very friendly either. I understand that his job is to keep things moving; however, there is a way to say it. His approach was not the best. We would never go back to this course again, if given the option.

Do not book a group outing here. We spent 2 months trying to get in touch with the G.M. who is apparently the only one that can setup a group event and never once got a call back or an email returned. We drove to the course to try to book the tee times and still nothing was booked. Everyone told us "we will call you back with the details". We usually enjoy this course, but after that treatment we will not be back.

I played here in the summer while visiting San Antonio. And I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful courses that I have played at. First of all, the both the greens and the fairways were as smooth as a carpet. And just the scenery was just absolutely beautiful. I truly wish I could play here every day and would definitely recommend it. I dont think five stars is enough for this course. WOW.

The Quarry is my favorite course in the San Antonio area. Course Conditions are always top notch and staff is phenomenal. Back nine (in the quarry) can get hot in the summer and finishing holes are challenging. Dont pull your driver out on 18 or you will be sorry. Two 200 yard shots will do the trick to set you up well for your third shot on this tight Par 5 with big trouble on the left AND right.

Great course best enjoyed in the fall or spring. The summer time makes the back nine brutal. The buildings around it, and it location down in an old quarry dont allow much wind to flow through. Friendly staff and decent prices for a round. The on course cart service for beverages is faster and more frequent than I have experienced at different courses.

Course overall is in great condition. A bit pricey, but its because of the quality of golf you will get to play. The views in the back 9 are unique. Tee it high and let it fly from 15-18 holes. Irons only in the range, but if it is supposed to be the same swing, then you dont need driver, eh? round includes balls. Food is good, the tacos <3

Great course. Good afternoon golfing. Course seems shorter than on course indicators say. The app they use for distance is almost pointless. They no longer publish yardage books, because they have the app, and they are not on ClubSG. Recommend playing a couple rounds with a laser rangefinder before a tournament.

It was my first time to the quarry. The course was in great condition although there were some punch marks in the greens. Course is beautiful and very scenic. Back nine is a bit harder than the front. I will play again when I come back to town. Staff is friendly and there were free yardage books, very useful.

Not a bad place to play. Not your normal course, especially on the back 9 of course. I like to change things up so I play this course from time to time and it is ok. Not my favorite but I like to be up to par no matter which course I am on.

Fun and interesting course. The back nine is set down in an old quarry and is very unique. The wife and I both love playing here. The course is in great shape for a public course. We recommend it, and there are good deals on twilight times.

Very unique course that is a must play in San Antonio. Great condition. The back nine is in the quarry and plays narrow, but the front nine offers more positional challenge off the tee with fewer opportunities to use driver.

Ive played out there once but the experience was great. The course was beautiful and well laid out and also challenging. Be cautious in the summer there is no shade.

The course is in good shape. The greens were a bit rough but hey its December. Sand traps could use some sand might as well be hitting off packed earth.

Beautiful course. Front 9 and the back 9 make it feel like a totally different course. Front is a city view and back is down in the rock quarry.

Ive played here twice (69 1st Rd 72 2nd) over priced and not in good condition. Staff is a bit unfriendly and a bit arrogant

I love this golf course. The quarry hole greens are wet and slow, the meadows greens are dry and fast. Very challenging.

Target golf on every hole on the back nine. Front is a little more wide open. Well maintained. Convenient location.

The restaurant has a great view of the golf course, and, if you go at happy hour, the prices are very reasonable.

Front 9 was boring. Lots of water. Back 9 was fantastic.
