This is one of north central Texas best kept secrets. The Boy Scouts of America national headquarters is across the street from this museum. If you have an interest in Boy Scouts, Norman Rockwell, or just 20th century US history, you need to check this place out. They have a gallery with the original paintings Rockwell did for Boys Life magazine covers. Furthermore, your likely to learn something you didnt know about Scouting and its influence within 20th century US history.

Fun place for scouts and families to visit. Best parts are the interactive exhibits, even adults have fun participating. For my older scout, the Order of the Arrow exhibit is the most interesting. The Norman Rockwell art exhibit is phenomenal. Big disappointment with the closing of the gift shop. Museum does need to update the famous persons section to include more current individuals. Michael Jordan and Jeff Sessions were the two persons my scout recognized.

As an Eagle Scout I was excited to visit here. I came on a day when I literally had the museum to myself. I had a great time looking through the exhibits and learning more about Scouting than I had previous to my visit. I literally spent an afternoon here enjoying the exhibits and reminiscing my of years of Scouting. This is a great place for anyone interested in Scouting to visit.

Came here with my cub scout, but my wife and older son have come here for years to take classes and earn merit badges. This a great and little used resource for National Boy Scouts of America. There are videos and historic artifacts from BSA including interactive exhibits for scouts of all ages. Theres always room for building a little fun in scouting every day!

We went with a group of preschoolers on a free Monday. The kids all had a blast racing cars and climbing through the spelunking tunnel. Friendly plan to return to play again and to see the Norman Rockwell collection. Bring change for the penny stamp machine and to play more rounds with the shot guns.

The Boy Scout museum was very nice. Lots of information. The film was interesting. Displays were nice. A great place to view Norman Rockwell paintings. The guide told us a lot of facts. However they are moving to Philmont NM. So you will have to see it there.

Took my boys there on a Monday, there was free admission which was great & there were very few people there so we spent lots of time doing activities. Its too bad they will be closing in May (theyre moving to Philmont, NM 2017), so go while you can!
