From when I first started playing this course in Jan of 2016 to March of 2016 it got better. The fairways had some kind of disease and it was bad but it did get better. I will have to compare it to the municipal course in Brownsville which had great fairways but terrible greens, probably from the same disease, and the greens were getting better. I would have prefered to play Brownsville but Harlingen was almost across the street. The people at Harlingen were great, prices not so much. It was IMHO more money then I wanted to pay. A great course in Edenburg was 25 for 18 with a cart and Brownsville was 20 with a cart. I am thinking I payed 14 to walk 9.

The golf course is not too bad for a municipal course. The only problem I see is since it is a municipal course I assume the employees are city workers. The one that usually takes the money for the green fees is not very pleasant. If he was working at a private course he would be long gone but I assume he is covered by a union contract.

27 holes, is decent for a municipal course. Affordable. Fairways are laid out well, rather wide, Sometimes, however, the greens are in very bad shape -that will vary for seemingly no particular reason. Tresure Hills Course is close, is better, but is more pricey.

Very disappointed greens were unkept, in need of mowing and have played here before and was the best in the valley. City needs to clean it up.
