This is NOT a review on the community itself, but a review for their rental venue called The Lakehouse. My fiance and I were so excited to have our wedding here and we were initially told that if we picked one of their preferred vendors, wed receive a 25% discount off the rental rate. We were hesitant because we had already booked all our vendors and didnt wish to cancel, but then we were told that there was no minimum amount required from the Lakehouses preferred vendors. So, we settled on buying drinks from a preferred vendor and that gave us the discount. We paid half the rental rate down to book our date and the contract was signed by me, my fiance, and a Lakehouse rep and stamped as well. We thought everything was fine...until August 2nd. Then, another rep tells us we dont qualify for the discount because catering from their preferred vendors has to be "full service." Heres the problem - the contract does not say this ANYWHERE. And, if this was an issue, then why were we told we qualified for the discount and why didnt anyone from the Lakehouse bring this up before signing and stamping our paperwork? I emailed the Lakehouse to point out their contract wording was not explicit about the catering part and that we had already been approved for the discounted rate. I was then sent this email from the manager. Yes, I was talked down to and shown, in giant font, the dictionary definition of the word cater like Im a fool (I teach and tutor English for a living and I have an MFA in English, give me a break!). Then, we were told the contract is a figure of speech. Really? I wonder how that would go in court. Because of this, we cancelled our wedding here and finally, after so much confusion, we got our check back. We would have paid whatever we needed to pay since we liked the venue so much, but if thats how management addresses a question from a client, forget it. I talked to the corporate office and the BBB in regards to a refund and an apology from the manager. We got the refund, but no apology from the manager. This is a very nice place to live by the looks of it, but if youre looking to rent the venue, I recommend you STAY AWAY, at least until their management skills are better.

i live here for almost 6 years. HOA here is very expensive, yes you get some amenities but too much crime in the area. HOA does nothing, they try to justify that "we have nice things thats why crime comes in", but with the high fees, residents deserve some kind of protection, they hired seal security to patrol the area but they are unreliable and does not patrol on areas where they are needed. you really dont feel safe when you live here. dont be fooled, choose wisely.

Wish they would change sprinkler timers... The sprinklers run during the day making everything including the road wet. Ruining car washes and walking in the day. Sprinklers should be running at night only anyways as it not good to water during hot sunny days...
