I have played several PGA Tournament venues and this was by far one of the most enjoyable. We used a fore caddie, and my playing partner knew the course quite well. I advise the use of an experienced local to maximize the course management aspect. Although the regular greens fees were high, the condition of the course and scenery exceeded my expectations. The greens were diabolical, as were the sand traps and pin placements. Each detail is well thought out and challenging. As humbling as the 13th and 14th hole were to me, I would struggle to pick one hole as my favorite, including 18, which is incredible. This course is well worth the time and money for any golf enthusiast.

A fantastic course!! I got to play in the RBC Heritage Pro Am two years ago and have returned to play it a couple of times since. Beautiful setting along Calibogue Sound with distinctive, winding fairways through the Low Country trees. Great shot values and great finishing stretch especially 17 and 18. Its one the tour players favourite places/ tournaments each year just behind Augusta and Pebble Beach. If your a serious golfer put Harbour Town on your list - also HH is great for family vacations If you love golf visit Haig Point on Daufuskie Island directly across Calibogue Sound - a superb Rees Jones design with some of the best holes in the South East.

Here is the ENGLISH translation (via Google Translate) of the adjacent review in GERMAN: : I played the course in early June 2010. A green fee of $ 150 was required for a start time after 16 clock still. The whole place was sanded. All the greens and fairways were sanded what nobody told before the round. All in all, the place I was very disappointed because my expectations. The layout and condition were bad! This has been a PGA tournament is here is beyond me. On Hilton Head, there are other good places at reasonable prices, such as the Cupp Course at Arthur Hill Resort.

If you enjoy testing your abilities on a course that PGA players play on then this is it. Most of the holes favor accuracy over length and shot positioning off the tee is critical. This course is not visually intimidating or aesthetically pleasing other than the final finishing holes which have views of the sound. The remainder of the golf course is average at best and most of the holes are no better than any other golf course. It is certainly not worth the $350 they charge during peak season. However, if you are only going to be visiting this area then it is a course you should add to your list, simply because it is a tour stop.

This is a beautiful golf course with all the amenities you would expect, including caddies, or carts (take a caddie and walk this beautiful course). Be prepared for a challenging yet pleasant day on the course as you weave through the trees, out to the sound and navigate the very small greens. Always in pristine condition, and now better after the full remodel by Davis Love in 2015/2016.

Host to the PGA tour Event the Heritage. If you get a chance to play, give it a go. Pricey to play with a cart considering you are required tot take a four caddy. Some holes are cart path only. I walked the back nine. Caddy knowledge is above average. The views are terrific and the sun sets in the evening over 18. Bucket list.

Terrific golf course. Difficult but also very fun to play. Service is absolutely wonderful, and the caddies are both knowledgeable and helpful! Only downside is itll take a big hit on your wallet so dont play it if its going to rain heavily so that you can get all the holes in!

Terrific, challenging layout. If you arent hitting it straight it will probably be a long day. There are a number of memorable holes. Currently in the best condition I have ever seen it. Great, welcoming staff.

Great golf course. Tight golf course that is well-maintained and fun to play. They require you to have a forecaddie with each group which is really nice to have them give yardages and tell you where to hit it.

What a great way to spend the day. Beautiful course and had a great caddie Paul. He knew the greens like the back of his hand. Target golf at its finest. The course was in great shape.

5 star class experience. Was a bit upset that I couldnt have a beer in the mens locker room after my 1:45 round of golf, but such is life!

Beautiful layout on Calibogue Sound, designed by Tom Fazio, I believe. If its good enough for the PGA Tour, its top notch. Fabulous.

Service was very slow for the amount of people eating and had to ask for a refill of coffee. Food was good.
