Cannon Green is a beautiful place with all the warmth of an airport lounge. Clearly a lot of money was spent on this restaurant and venue, and the pricing of the food and drinks seems designed to recoup that expense in as short a time as possible. The bulk of the physical space on the limited menu is dedicated to boasting of the pedigree of the ingredients. While looking over the self-congratulatory menu, we were also told by our server to be excited about the accolades of the chef. The space, the menu, the server, they all told us we were somewhere special about to eat something incredible. But that incredible night never happened, or maybe it happened at someone elses table. I was with a table of eight, and not one of us was excited by our meal. It was all just... very elaborately-conceived mediocre food. I ordered the filet mignon, and the sinewy cut I received was so gristle-filled that I couldnt even finish it. The atmosphere and the menu do a great job of convincing you that youre going to have an amazing experience, but the actual experience of eating here is hollow and disappointing. I would highly recommend it to anyone with an expense account and under the influence of appetite-suppressing drugs. For anyone else, pass this one by.

The Space. The Menu. The Drinks. The Service. This place is the epitome zof Charleston dining. Yet again another fabulous establishment opened up in the heart of Cannonborough. Feel free to get dressed to the nines and have an incredible meal or just have a casual drink at the bar. The restaurant is often used for weddings and rehearsal dinner, so do not be surprised if there is a party in the venue out back. The space is very open and not crowded at all, unlike a lot of the higher end restaurants in town trying to cram in an extra table top. I have eaten here more than my fair share of times and I am pleasantly surprised each time I got. Finally, the bartender is a bit of a mixologist, tell him what you like and a cocktail and he will make you something from scratch. Spot on!

The A-Z Restaurant Group of Charleston came to Cannon Green yesterday and had a wonderful time! Our server was excellent. She was funny, knowledgable without being pushy, and attentive yet patient with our rowdy bunch. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the seasonal cocktail - The Confederate Orchard. We were slightly nervous when we placed the reservation because they took a credit card and said they would charge $20 per person if they didnt show up, but the staff was incredibly accommodating when we in fact had an extra person that evening. Thank you, Cannon Green! It was a great experience.

Hello, I wanted to write in and thank the team at Cannon Green for helping create such a memorable moment to celebrate my friends engagement. Hillary went above and beyond to make us feel special, it was like being welcomed into a friends home. She made sure everything went seamlessly for the evening. The food was outstanding! Our waitress was pleasant and delightfully thorough and took her time explaining the menu, the surroundings and the chef. Our appetizers were delicious as was our meals. I would suggest the cioppino was relatively thick (however, it was described that way). There were lots of shrimp and few mussels and/or clams. I did ask that the octopus be left out and they obliged. It tasted good, but I was expecting the flavoring to be a little more complex. Our deserts were fabulous also.

We had a wonderful meal. Every morsel was delicious...even the okra! I was in a quandary about whether or not to order the snapper entree because of the okra, but you cant go wrong with anything at Canon Green-even us "non okra lovers." You will change your mind after tasting theirs! The waitress was real personable and attentive. We will be back to try Tacos on Tuesday or perhaps their brunch!

We took my mother here for her birthday and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was amazing (beautiful restaurant), the food was unreal as we all tried each others dishes (get the ravioli for sure), and we had one of the best servers (Ali) I have ever had in my 36 years of dining out. I highly recommend checking this place out, we will be back for sure!

Our server, Allison, was phenomenal. All food items--cocktails, first courses, second courses, and desserts--were absolutely delicious. The ambiance and style of the restaurant and courtyard were modern, clean, spacious, and fun. Cannon Green is now on my list of top restaurants in Charleston. I look forward to visiting again!

Awesome place, the outside to the inside is very inviting. The bartender Olen was great and knew what he was doing behind the bar. If you are looking for a cool place to have an event they have tons of event space, this place is huge. But also a really neat place to grab a bite to eat and or a drink. Cheers guys!

We immediately loved the ambience! It was warm with a modern feel without losing the feeling of comfort. Amazing food and service. Kincaid, our bartender was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient! We will definitely be coming back! (The chicken and waffles would make Roscoe rethink his recipe!)

I was very surprised when my girlfriend told me we were going to brunch where there was a DJ, but trust me it was amazing. This is a place to go after church or on vacation. Best brunch in Charleston.
