Opened in September 2016, this is Rhode Islands largest dog park. Two acres in size with a mix of field and woodland. Separate areas for large and small dogs. A water hose is available. The opening of this park was a 3+ year process involving the community and city working together to reclaim this marginal land for a great purpose. It is a tremendous asset to the city and its residents. At present, there are still some weeds and brush in the park but the dogs, in time, will clear it all down. The park needs the community to keep it clean so please do your part.

The dog park is currently open but needs some TLC. Theres a lot of brush and weeds, stumps, bushes with berries, and other random material laying around. Its like they started to build it and stopped at 70%. After these items get addressed it will be a really good dog park. It has a ton of space and the double gate to reduce dogs getting out by accident. Take the path to the grassy field between the Hendersons on and off ramps if you want to throw the ball. Theres no communial water bowl yet, but Ill try to pick one up next time Im at the pet store.

Spacious and fun, with well-behaved animals and mindful humans. Enough room for the creatures to run, fetch, and chase each other. Occasionally some dogs show each other some hostility but the people intervene pretty quickly. We were there in mid April 2017 and there was not a sign of the grass I saw in the pictures, the landscaping featured dirt, sticks and bark chips. Which was pretty much perfect as far as the dogs were concerned. But they needed some brushing before going home. Also, the faucet was not turned on yet after the winter.

This dog park is for the dogs, not their fussy owners! Wanda gives it five stars. Sure, it needs a little more work, but its big enough so that a lot of dogs can race around and not reduce it to a muddy mess. There is some terrain and variety of cover, not just all grass. Be sure to bring a ball or frisbee to toss around in the upper field.

Awesome layout, quite big for a dog park imo, parking was easy and close (though its street parking only, but considering the amount of parking I dont think it should often be a problem). Lots of friendly dogs (and people).

Big space for dogs to explore! Nice and shady on a hot day. It could be a muddy mess on a rainy day, though. It would be great if there were a trash cans to put poop bags in inside the park. Otherwise, very nice!

When I used to have a dog, I would always bring him here to play and wander. Really nice park for them where they can be social with other dogs. Also very clean but I would still wear boots.

The park is big and has options for dogs to play. The owners that choose to bring their dogs are social and thoughtful about how their dogs interact with people and other dogs.

Park was in bad shape, could not get in gate was locked. Had to use the area across the street. Had to keep my dog on his Leach. Will never go there again.

Vey nice park trees for shade and water for the dogs if you use google maps it is actually across the street from when it says you have arrived

Great addition to the East Side! Lots of friendly people and well-being behaved dogs. Our dog lives the trails that lead up to the open space.

It is a very large space with lots of logs and branches to jump over. My dog likes it a lot. It can be very muddy and wet though.

Convenient location. Not sure if one over grown section is for small dogs. Bummer dogs have to be on leashes.
