1 star for the wine and 1 star for the service, but the venue itself is quite beautiful. The wines themselves are average, but they do offer some unique fruit wines (acai and pomegranate). Unfortunately, most of the fruit wines have a bitter, instant-puckering taste. The 3 different staff members providing pourings were very inattentive, and casually at that, as if wine pourings are served at their convenience. This is the kind of place where staff workers milling around chatting or looking at their phones is commonplace, regardless of if there are tasters with empty glasses or customers waiting to be checked out. One staff member in particular provided one of the most awkward wine tasting experiences of my life. We greeted her -- not the other way around -- after she ignored us standing at the counter for several minutes. First she started conversing with us in a whisper, then she spoke louder, making lots of unrelated comments. Eventually I asked where and how we do the tastings (she didnt see it fit to bring it up). She then asked if wed done a tasting there before (probably not if Im asking where and how we do a tasting?). Eventually she charged us for the tasting and then screwed up the register, which took another 3 minutes to resolve, then proceeded to give incorrect change. She then directed us to the tasting room. Once we got to the tasting room, she asked if we had received our drink voucher book (each tasting gets 8 slips of paper). We politely said no, and she realized she never gave them to us. She kept forgetting to take one (of our two) glasses to pour (as the tasting bar is split into different wine sections and not all bottles were at all locations). For the bottles that were located nearby, a few of her pours missed our glasses, and about halfway through the flight, she disappeared at the other end of the bar never to be seen again. Forgetfulness, screwing up the register, incorrectly counting change, missing pours, nonsensical conversation. Some of these things can be attributed to being nervous, maybe shes new, but ALL of them? Based on the fact she works in a tasting room -- Im inclined to think this woman was tasting the wines herself -- and maybe a little too much.

2 months before my wedding i noticed the owner Dave decided to start construction.....2 weeks before my wedding they had dug a sewage trench all the way around the field where i wanted to have my ceremony....we were down 2 bathrooms one which I was told over and over again would be done. the other we shared with a graduation party....that bathroom had a wall out with a curtain hanging up for privacy. the last stall did not have a door on it. The parking lot was disgusting and very dangerous specially for my elderly guests. There was a worker the day of the wedding sawing concrete who we had to ask several times to stop, so the obnoxious noise did not interfere with my ceremony. When I confronted "Dave" about my concerns he called me foolish and put me down as a young woman.....telling me to "go ask my fiance maybe he knows something about construction" I have never been so disrespected as a paying customer in my life. Events should have stopped being booked for construction of that level at peek event season....I would never recommend Rose Bank Winery to anyone not only because the construction but the ignorant owner. luckliy i was strong enough to not let a man like him completely ruin the biggest day of my life......

What an excellent venue! We had our wedding here recently and we were 110% satisfied with the location, the service, the staff, the wines and the overall ambiance of Rose Bank Winery! Between the sheep grazing in the vineyard, the rustic and restored beautiful barns and all of the uniqueness their location has to offer our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the event! There was plenty of room for dancing and entertainment and different options for us to chose from depending on how large our reception list was. Given the venue and the location the prices were very reasonable. We also just discovered that they are building an addition and after looking at their website we are blown away! We would confidentially recommend this location over and over again! (In fact we frequent the winery whenever we can for samplings and events)

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Rose Bank. Everything was absolutely beautiful! We rented during the construction process and the proprietors were very accommodating and quick to address our many questions throughout the entire wedding planning process. They were beyond helpful and considerate. On our wedding day, our guests continually told us how beautiful, rustic and romantic the setting was. The pictures of our ceremony and reception are absolutely gorgeous and everything about the setting added to the beauty of that day for us. We are very pleased with choosing Rose Bank as our venue and cannot wait to return for future wine tastings!

Great winery! They are small but have a large variety of wines to choose from during your tasting. I am a fruit and sweet wine person and I loved almost all of their fruit wines they had! Great place to host an event. Yes you are asked to only serve their wine which is understandable, but they will make accommodations for traditions. My partner and I are holding an event there this October and he has the last bottle of black raspberry wine his grandfather used to make and wants to open it for the toast and ceremony. Incredibly knowledgeable people and extremely nice! Also you have to try the dips they have their as well!

The gentlemen behind the counter was one of the rudest people I have ever met. The wine was horrible, the jars of dips and jams are dusty, it is completly overpriced for the service and product! Never do a wine tasting here, the employees are ignorant and the bottles are laden with flies. The best part is I will probably get a "repsonse from owner" like the below posts. I already know that the response will be just as pompus and the service. It is very obvious that they keep this establishment open to host weddings...and from Rachels comment, sub-par weddings!

Standards! Where are the standards?! My first (and last, im sure) tasting at this winery included their Chancellor Reserve red wine. After the first sip, I could tell something was off with it so I asked if it needed to be aged, and the staff told me "no" and then explained that the funky taste in the wine was from some residue that was on the grapes when they processed them. So, they know that this wine is bad and they still sell it? Because of this, I will not return to this winery... even though the chocolate orange port is quite good.

Just finally getting around to posting after the reception we had at Rosebank in September. We cant say enough GOOD things about Rosebank..the facility is beautiful..the wines were excellent and were readied for us (some chilled as they should be, some not), Dave was gracious and accomdating - the reception was PERFECT. Even after the reception, Rosebank continued to serve us as we got a flat tire and Dave came to assist us in the parking lot personally after everyone else had left. THANK YOU THANK YOU ROSEBANK..WE LOVE YOU!

We called and spoke with the owner Dave the day before our visit and scheduled a meeting with him. We got to the winery and stood in the lobby for well over an hour. The guy never showed up. We drove an hour out of our way and stood around in the place for another hour, it was a complete waste of time. Also no one that works there had any idea and didnt have his cell phone number to contact him. This place is a joke, they are completely unprofessional.
