I received an email inviting me to purchase tickets for the circus. The emails states "All Opening Night tickets just $15". I click the link, enter the promo code, it tells me that the tickets are $50. Nowhere does it give me the option to actually purchase $15 tickets. I call the box office and explain the situation. They try to tell me that it is a limited number of seats to which I point out the fact that it says "All Opening Night tickets just $15". After 25 minutes on the phone, I am told that, in fact, the email DOES state ALL tickets and that they will look into it and get it fixed. I was promised a return phone call in about an hour. At 10:00 PM I finally get an email from them instructing me to call the promoter. So the next day I did, and they told me that it was the PPL center that sent the email, there is nothing the promoter can do about it. I call PPL back again, and get more of the same run around I got the first time. Absolutely terrible. I was so excited about having this venue close to home, but this is now the second time in which my experience has been very poor. They really dont seem to care. Guess they got their customer service training form the PPL Electric Company. Sad.

This review is directed at the City of Allentown and their feeble attempt to extort parking money. I was at the Phantoms home opener on 10//10/15. Last year the parking meters were only in effect until 6pm. This year ALL of the meters are in effect until 10 pm every day except Sunday. Great job Allentown. The most expensive minor league facility in history. After the game was over the area became a ghost town very quickly. What a great idea to ext end the meter regulations. Now even fewer people will come. As for the arena itself, you can get cheap tickets in section 201 for Phantoms games. Make sure you eat before you go in, the food prices are not much better than a NHL game. Make sure you are seated early, the concourses get congested very quickly. They are not wide enough. GO Phantoms!

Dont expect a major league stadium experience, and you wont be disappointed. The newly built PPL Center is now in its second season but still feels new. The amenities arent immensely impressive but there are some good options inside. Tim Hortons and Chickies and Petes are accessible from inside and there are other stands with arena staples as well. There arent many beer options, though they do have Sam Adams which is marginally better than the Coors and Bud everywhere else. The arena is fairly small with lots of club seating, but it means you can get a great close and intimate view up close. Great for hockey where you can really see and even hear the on ice action.

My husband and I only ate at Crust, which is located in the PPL Center. We ordered a pepperoni pizza to share. There pizzas are coal fired, which make for a very unique tasting pizza. The pizza had a good flavor to it, however, they have an issue with grease. The way that they cook the pizzas makes it so that the grease that is created in the oven has no where to go and therefore it gets soaked back into the pizza. Because of this our pizza was cooked properly on the tip of the pizza and the crust, however, the middle of the pizza slices were soggy.

This was our kids first Phantoms game (and first ever hockey game) as we live in the UK. We parked in the street as with local friends and quickly arrived at the PPL. All the staff were friendly and security etc was quick and painless. As we booked late we were high up but still had great views and enjoyed the game (the phantoms winning 4-2 definitely helped!!). Theres good choices for drinks and food for young and old and the souvenir shop is well priced although not cheap. Would go again with the family when next back in town.

I really, really enjoy coming here. I do not like driving in Allentown, but I feel safe coming here. The parking garages are nice, and you can buy a parking pass for events that will sell out. The atmosphere is great! Family friendly and the staff are mostly friendly as well. I have been here for many hockey games and concerts and never had an issue with anything. Food is good, bathrooms are clean, seating is comfortable and security does a fine job of keeping the rowdy people in check. This is probably my favorite local venue.

Parking is not ideal. Elevators were not functioning so it was hard in the parking deck for my mother to walk down three flights of stairs. However, the arena is gorgeous. You are never on top of others while on the concourse. There are no obstructed view seats. Its a beautifully designed building inside and out. Seats are comfortable and the staff is more than accommodating. The place is very affordable for events. Only 4 stars because parking could be better.

Saw the EAGLES there on Friday. The Arena is really nice, with loads of food and beverage options. What I liked the most was the intimate feel it had. We sat all the way across from the stage yet still felt like we were part of the action. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby for pre-gaming and post gaming. Will look forward to our next trip there. Congratulations Allentown on a job (and idea) well done

Nice sight lines throughout the arena for hockey. Very clean and new arena. Arena PA announcer is a little annoying. Food options OK, not a ton of variety. Concourses poorly designed for traffic flow, some places are clogged up at all times and get even worse once the event is over. Atmosphere is very family friendly. If you are going to watch the game, great. Some of the other stuff is just mediocre.

The shows at the PPL Center are top notch. We went to Marvel Live and Disney on Ice. The parking decks are to be desired and the crowd control by the security at the entrance needs to be better, but the facilities were create. The whol arena was clean and well kept. The seats are comfortable and every seat has a good view. The concession areas are wide open an there are lots of areas to go.

A not so great first experience trying to buy tickets. First there website kept timing out, then when I did get tickets the "additional fees" added up to half the cost. And that was not including the $3 it would cost to have them mailed to me. I couldnt even pick which seats I wanted but had to take whatever they decided I should have. Very poor experience.

Godawful place. The inside is acceptable for watching an event, but you have to run a gauntlet to get in and out. Despite pre-paying for parking, we waited 80 minutes to get into the parking garage only to find out that people who did not pay were being waived in. A beer costs $11.00, a burger $12.00, fork that. This is Allentown, not midtown Manhattan.

The venue is great to watch a hockey game. Unfortunately there arent enough bathrooms and the hall ways are cramped if the arena is full. Beer prices are way to expensive when compared to other venues. But I guess I dont have to drink if I dont like the prices either. It is nice that they have 4 entrances but the longest wait is to get past security.
