The key here is the word "Civic" - its both Civic and Civil! Local volunteers work at the place and the clientele are civilized. No loud kids with cell phones making the theater experience unpleasant. Beautiful Art Deco building with great, high quality movies and extremely well-done local theater. With very rare exceptions, its the only movie house I go to.

The Civic Theatre always has professional, well thought out productions. I have never been left with anything less than pure enjoyment both in the ingenuity of the sets and production to the enthusiasm and skill of the actors. This is one of Allentowns best diamonds!

Went to see Assassins there (fantastic musical btw) and the theater itself was adorable, however their concessions were a little pricier than I would have liked.

Beautiful classic theatre in a charming part of town. I love that they now offer alcoholic drinks to enjoy while watching great indie films.
