Eliot is my new favorite person at the MODA Center. He went above and beyond to turnaround an unpleasant (but necessary) situation into an amazingly positive experience. Let me explain. My wife and I arrived early to secure close seats for us and two friends in section 119. We were later asked to give up our seats for an ADA patron (I was seated at an end seat). Of course we obliged without hesitation. By then the Moda Center was filling up and the only available seats were in the 300 levels. We were disheartened. Then Eliot stepped in. Eliot was determined to do everything to improve our situation. He didnt have to; this was a FREE event. He was well within his right to eschew us, but he didnt do that. Instead Eliot politely asked for our patience as we waited in the hallway and he got to work on the radio, talking to person after person. Minutes went by. We knew he was turning every stone. Finally Eliot found us four seats... ....Four seats in the Friends and Family section, just a few rows from the bench! We were thrilled and we quickly got to our seats just before tip-off. Eliots great service set the timbre for the rest of the event. Over the years Ive been to many concerts, shows and Blazers games at the MODA Center, but this is, by far, my favorite MODA Center experience. And it had very little to do with the product on the court/stage. Shabazz Napiers slashing drives, Damian Lillards unconscious range and C.J. McCollums creativity were all impressive, but they were distilled through the lens of the gracious treatment we received, which Eliot made happen. Eliot was our clear MVP of FanFest this year. The ballot was uncontested. Thank you Eliot for everything. You are a rockstar! Truly, -dr ilkyu lee

I would be giving this review fewer stars but I am still so impressed by Paul McCartney that I cant bring myself to do it. We found a nice parking lot nearby which meant easy in and out and not suffering through getting out of the parking garage so that is a plus as well. I also wont complain about an $11 drink, we all anticipate that dont we? My biggest complaint is courtesy during a concert. We were probably able to get through 6 songs of that whole concert without the two drunk dudes in our row leaving to get another beer then leaving again two songs later to take a piss. Now dont get me wrong, I have a small bladder as well but I prepared by NOT DRINKING BEER the whole concert. And even that wouldnt be so bad except we were forced to stand to let them out in the middle of one song and forced to stand to let them back in in the middle of the next song. After being interrupted so may times that the people behind us were even shocked I went to talk with the usher. She not so politely informed me that theres no rule dictating when someone could get up to use the restroom. Fine, then just make people wait until the end of the current song to go sit back down. Is this too much to ask?

This place is the bane of my existence. I live next door and apparently curfew just doesnt apply to rich people and businesses, because I cannot study at least half of the nights in a week because they have a marching band and a whistle line and an idiotic frenzied sportscaster screaming until 1 in the morning. I hope everyone that goes to these events suffers horrible fortune in the very near future. Thats not to mention I cannot even navigate the sidewalks when events are over, because huge crowds flood the sidewalk travelling radially outwards from the center, so that it is quite literally impossible for me to walk in the direction of my home without walking down the center of the street and getting hit by traffic. And if you try to tell the jock bros to move for you to have room to walk the opposite direction, they get all macho and try to hit you. Sadly, there is no self defense protection in Oregon, so I cannot lawfully subdue this violence. Get a stadium in Beaverton where all you rich people live, and leave those of us that actually live in this side of town alone.

My family and I went to watch a Blazer game here and had 100 level seats. The seats were great and provided a great view! You dont realize how big these professional athletes are until you sit close enough. Ive had 300 level seats before and the view isnt too bad. The Jumbotron helps quite a bit in these cases but as long as youre close to the middle the views good and can see the action. The arena is clean and has cool things to see like the old PDX carpet (only Oregonians will understand), Rip City signs for pictures, many different places to eat including local food carts and a team store. For under 20 dollars a ticket for 300 level, the seats are a great deal for a date or just a get together with some friends! My only complaint is how overpriced the food and beverages were. Ive only really been here for sporting events but am sure other events are just the same. I think, since theyre pulling in money from ticket sales and televised games, itd be nice to have a reasonable price for some chicken tenders, fries and a drink!

While the exterior is generally fine and food is improving the most important aspect of any arena is the view it offers fans of the event. Frankly, this is where Moda falls short. The interior slope inside Moda is simply too shallow, resulting, in my experience, in the majority of seats having obscured views. Even worse, many fans tend to bring or make signs, and/or wear hats, further partially obscuring or even destroying the views of anyone with the misfortune to be behind them and Moda does nothing to try to combat this behavior. Ive seen games where fans have held signs for periods at a time, oblivious of the effect theyre having on the rows behind them. Even an announcement at the beginning of games would help here. Even for man of average height this is a place that I would not willingly go without courtside seats, and forget about bringing your kids. They might as well watch at home because all theyre going to see is the jumbotron and the head and shoulders of the person in front of them.

Major fail of Moda Center. We have been looking forward to Pentatonix for months! Sold us 5 phantom tickets in row "P" of section 227 that does not exist! The usher even joked while directing us to our seats that its standing room only (because it is a cement walkway). How is this a joke and why didnt he direct us to ticket services immediately? This issue should have been resolved in advance or at the very least, when our tickets were scanned for entry. We were only offered alternatives of 2 seats and 3 GA standing room. Not okay as some of us have medical/physical issues who cannot stand for extended periods of time. Now 3 of us had to go home as there were no other options available, yet I am looking at empty seats next to me and in the rows adjacent. Although we were offered a refund, this was still highly disappointing. Poor and unprofessional customer service from the usher to the guest service and ticket service on the day of the snafu! Much better recovery the second day.
