Fantastic venue. Our guests were delighted with the setting and quality of service. We especially enjoyed watching the children at our wedding playing at Dancing Deer Mountain. They giggled and laughed as they skipped along the woodland pathways blowing bubbles. They loved the grotto area and two person wooden swing. They especially liked the little bridge and pond. Dancing Deer Mountain is ADA accessible so the old timers in our wedding were able to enjoy the beautiful gardens, benches and large roomy restrooms. I especially appreciated all the little things the owners did to make our wedding day special and relaxing. Everything was set up perfectly for us. They helped us at the rehearsal and we saved the cost of a DJ as Tim runs the event center sound system for free. We also had a string quartet who sat and played under the tall trees. The music transformed the woods into a magical place. We would recommend Dancing Deer Mountain without reservation.

Beautiful location, very accommodating. We loved that the owners will let you come out anytime during the week prior if you call first. Great amenities - huge commercial fridge for flowers and cake, nice getting-ready rooms, ample parking, gorgeous covered dining/dancing area and ceremony grounds. A newspaper article from months ago concerning negative reviews prompted me to post. My bet is those people did not read or blew off the review of terms. This is the owners retirement investment and time sink, and they simply want to protect it financially. Bottom line is this is not the place to have an out of control drunken bash. Alcohol is fine but we had to have insurance and a licensed server. There is nothing unreasonable about that. Also they understandably dont want all night parties so close at sunset - the owners are very clear about this before taking your deposit. I loved our wedding there and highly recommend this facility.

There are many other great places to get married, this is not that place! The worst wedding experience of my life! The location is beautiful the problem is the owners. Carol (female owner) is two faced, crooked, and was rude to multiple guest. I was only happy with one thing. It was a beautiful wedding, when it wasn’t raining and Carol and Tim stayed away. The owners did not make the rules clear to the people helping with set up even when they saw something they didn’t like they waited until the day of the wedding to bring it up. They also changed the rules as they saw fit. We were told we had to leave at 9pm, but at 8:15 they started telling the guests that they had to leave immediately. The “bridal suite” was a tool shed that was painted pretty, but a shed all the same. In my opinion She will find a why to keep your $500 deposit, and will try to make you pay even more.

To everyone at Dancing Deer Mountain, Words cannot describe how thankful and blessed we feel to have had out wedding at your location. Evern months later (as were tying up loose ends such as Thank You cards), we still recall how perfect everyone made our day. Everyone was so patient with us, helping us towards making decisions (as we were so over our heads) and just taking the time months in advance to just sit down and talk us through the stresses of wedding planning. A huge and special thanks to Colin, for not only managing the parking lot, but becoming the dog watcher that day, being kind enough to sit with the dog and making sure it was okay. Its that kind of kindness that everyone at Dancing Deer shows, and we thank you again for allowing us to share our most special moment with your family. All our love and appreciation. :)

BEWARE! THE OWNERS OF THIS VENUE ARE NOT CUT OUT TO BE IN THE WEDDING BUSINESS! THEY WILL PROMISS YOU MUCH, BUT WILL EVENTUALLY PULL THE RUG OUT FROM UNDER YOU AND CAUSE MUCH STRESS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ON YOUR SPECIAL DAY. WE WERE TOLD THERE WOULD BE OUTDOOR HEATERS, ONLY 1 WAS PROVIDED FOR OVER 100 GUESTS. THE DJ COULD ONLY PLAY MUSIC AT A WHISPER. WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD BE KICKED OUT OF THE VENUE IF ANYONE DRANK WINE (ITS A WEDDING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!)THE BRIDE AND GROOM WERE PICKED UP AT 8:15 AND ALL OF THE WEDDING GUEST WERE KICKED OUT OF THE PREMISES BY 8:30..... WHAT A WAY TO TREAT A WEDDING GUEST!!! BE CAUTIOUS, THEY WILL OVER PROMISS, ADD STRESS, AND UNDER DELIVER.

The owner booked the date out from under us, then went on vacation. So when he got back we found a date and it was only 8 weeks out. During set up he was no where to be found. Had to find everything our selves. Unplugged our food heating pots. Them disappeared till we had everything almost all cleaned up. The bridal sweet is a joke. You will be better off using one of the bathrooms. It gets really windy there so be ware. The venue is amazingly beautiful and the covered area they call a lodge is outstanding. Just watch out for the owner. Kinda slinky guy. He also has a guy that looks homeless parking cars.

Had my wedding on July 23rd and it was beautiful. The owners (and Colin) were very helpful. They stayed out of the way and seemed to appear whenever we needed something. Only had to go and find them once and they were in their house. The grounds were lovely and well kept. The music system is a smidge antiquated, but works (a couple of my burned music CDs skipped in their system, but work in my car CD system). They were kind enought to work with us and meet when we needed to. I would definitely recommend this place. It even kept us relatively cool in 85 degree weather, tuxes and all. Thank you!

The venue was beautiful and the pictures turned out awesome, but we thought that the owners were very difficult to work with. According to an article published by The Register Guard (the local newspaper), Dancing Deer Mountain has tried to sue past guests for posting negative reviews. You can Google it. I don’t want to get sued so I won’t elaborate on all of the negatives about the owners. The article also states that Dancing Deer Mountain hires a company called “Review Boost” to post positive reviews about them.

My daughters wedding was July 30 2011. We had an excellent experience with the venue. The location and facilities are very good. The outdoor lodge and ceremony area are beautiful. We had many compliments from our guests, saying how they loved the location. It is shady, even on a warm day. The owners are very helpful and assisted us as needed. They even had ideas from other weddings. We highly recommend Dancing Deer Mountain.

July 24th was a special day because our son married a very special lady. The day could not have been better! Carol and Tim the owners of Dancing Deer Mountain are GREAT! They provided everything they said they would do. Their profesionalism provided us no surprises and that is a huge relief because so much is going on. My wife and I would recomend Dancing Deer Mountain to everyone.

Dancing Deer Mountain is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Oregon! The lush, cool greenery and natural open setting are amazing. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were able to accommodate nearly every request and did so happily. The loveliness of this venue definitely added to the magic of our special occasion!
