Visited the web page and it has a beautiful layout , information about the club. It has a list of the prestigious championship tournaments that have been held there, an employment drop down tab in case you might want a job cleaning their toilets. Then at last a members login. The one thing you will not find is information on how to enjoy this beautiful course. It turns out that to join you must know someone that is a member in good standing and they have to fill out an application for you and vouch for you to get in. After contacting the club today I posed this question to the kind lady that answered the phone and she verified that the website is only there for employment and for members to login. I asked her why then would the cc put so much information and beautiful pictures on the website to draw attention and make people want to join when this club is obviously elitist and highly selective about who joins and that 98 percent of the people who see this website will never have a chance to join. At this point I said to her so basically the website is a way of thumbing their noses at all the people that will not have a chance to join and say" Ha Ha look what we have that you will never get". Her response was a laugh and "I guess so" after this answer I said thanks and have a nice day and hung up. Hence my 1 star rating.

The most interesting man in the world says, "Go for nostalgia, not for low scores". You dont shotgun 35 year old scotch. You savor it, enjoying all it has to offer. SHCC is the same way. The clubhouse halls offer past scorecards, trophies and memorabilia of PGA pros past & present. Experience playing with a fore-caddy, (its the shiznit)!! Experience the practice range. Experience the locker room, ("hi Gram, hi Tom.") Bask in the moment when you realize youre teeing off in the same spot Tiger Woods did. As for the course, always in great shape however, its somewhat average. BTW, if ya say you birdied 18 youre full of it!!!!!

One of the finest championship courses in the continental US. Built in the earlier history of this oil built city. Breath-taking views, wonderful design and located minutes from downtown. South Tulsa, Just 1.5 mi. from the S. Lewis(exit 227)or East 51st St. S and Harvard(exit 228)exits from I-44 (Skelly Bypass). Was able to experience, as well as volunteer time during the U.S.Open and PGA Tour when Tulsa played host to both tournaments.

While performing contract services for this facility I was denied access to a restroom - they are provided for "members only" and directed to the QT almost half a mile away. As anyone with diabetes is well aware that when you have to go...you have to go...no time allotted for fun and games or snobby attitudes. I guess us poor people should bring a colostomy bag to this facility while making repairs...just in case...

I grew up across the street. It was cool watching the Pros on TV and hearing the crowd from the backyard. That said, Im pretty sure someone has to die to become a member. Actually, theres a finite number of memberships that are bought and sold. Imagine spending $1M so you can pay half that again each year in dues. If yours doesnt stink, then youve found home.

Best golf course in Oklahoma, hands down. Not a blade of grass out of place! From the moment you drive through the gate you cant help but think of all the major and PGA history. It truly is a special place. If you ever have the privilege of being a guest, take it!!!

I work here and every day Im still amazed by its beauty. Southern Hills Country Club has an amazing view of downtown Tulsa from thw 10th hole and during sundown you can catch a breathtaking sunset fall over Turkey Mountain.

Beautiful and emaculent grounds presentation. While it is a true Members only club, they do host public events on occasion. Southern Hills has played host to both PGA US Open, as well as LPGA events.

Beautiful course & friendly staff. We were there for a junior Pga match & thoroughly enjoyed our time. It has changed a little bit since I last visited for the 94 Pga.

These folks are way too stuck up to have any fun and the course isnt all THAT great. If you get a free invite, then do it, but not if you have to pay your own way.
