Boat rentals are expensive. Paddle Boarding is $15 for an hour and you also cant get in the water. So if you get a SU you will have to stay on it at all times. This metro park is decent sized and clean, has a long walking trail around the water. Being from Michigan, Im rather unimpressed with this metro park because the state parks and metro parks in Michigan are 10 times more beautiful and you can get in the water and paddle board rentals are way more affordable. Ohio parks seem to be unimpressive, and cookie cutter.

The facilities are nice and well-kept as are the walkways and trees. The lake is well cared for but is an unnatural blue-green color due to the algaecide. Overall, its a nice place to take a brief walk and enjoy the weather but it doesnt have a whole lot to offer aside from that. Well see what the later phases of the planned park have to offer as theyre completed.

The walking trail is great but busy, the kids Jungle Jim is pretty cool, but the younger child one is pretty small and the bigger kids one is right next to it, making it hard to keep our son off the big one and on the smaller one. Still was a great spot to help him get some energy out.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are fair on rentals. The property itself is a bit drab. Its right next to a main street and alongside an industrial park. The scenery is not exciting. We went to rent paddle boats and after about an hour we were finished and left.

Its a great park but there are so many ticks two separate occasion this year I have picked over three off of my dog and I and I was only here maybe and hour each time walking around the lake and took her through the grass paths the second time.

Huge park with at least 22 soccer fields. Entrance can be difficult in event days and can end up parking far from your field. I havent seen any restrooms, you have to carry you own chairs and snacks. On sunny days, sunscreen is a must.

I got hit by a car here on my bike at 9pm, but anyways, the sunset views on the normal people-only trail are phenomenal and have always tricked me into taking more photos than usual of a gold-standard lake mirrored sunset.

Improved sports fields in past few years and are constantly keeping the park looking in best shape. Large hill that is fun for sledding on some snowy days. Large dog park where pooch can run around with other dogs.

Went for a soccer tournament and the tournament was fine, but its dumb you have to pay a large entry fee as a team and the have to pay to get in the park daily. Also, the only restrooms are portable toilets.

Watched grandkids soccer game here. Only reason not grading a 5 is the absurd signs for the parking lots. Whoever came up with that shouldve stayed in school or pursued a different degree.

One of my favorite parks around. The trail that wraps around the pond is really great for walking, walking a dog, biking or running. There are some nice spots here for picnicking as well.

Went to one of their outdoor concerts. Not the best venue. A bit cramped when crowded. Wasnt sure if food was available or was there for a separate event. Stagger Lee was very good.

I love VOA. Picturesque, nice paved waking path around lake, good fishing, paddle boats, etc. Nice childrens play area, and two dog parks - small and large dogs.
