I have dined here on numerous occasions. My biggest complaint being the slow wait staff for the prices you pay. The last time we dined there, my husband and I ordered the Reuben spring rolls, which came to the table still completely FROZEN in the middle. (How is that farm to table?) I can understand making ahead in food service, but it isnt science that you cant just throw things of that nature in the fryer and expect them to be cooked through. Ive been sitting on this review as its common knowledge the owner will personally message you with reasons as to why your review is incorrect (dont believe me? Read his own personal 5 star review of his hamburgers) but I feel atleast on Google, he cant delete my review. I did however feel the need to give an honorary star to the bourbon praline French toast, which is always good. Wont be dining here again.

Have eaten here on several occasions food is delicious and the wait staff is always friendly but dont plan an event with them its hard to get ahold of them in a timely manner..I was planning on having my wedding reception here above the restaurant in the Ivy and Esther room and they took weeks to respond and eventually forgot about me. I still have not heard back since I told them I was looking into other venues. If you need something for an event that is inexpensive the price isnt bad for the rental of the space above the restaurant but they are very disorganized with the event planning it may just be that they are just starting out and learning as they go. I would eat there again though.

We drove 40 minutes for Sunday brunch only find out theyre currently doing a limited menu. We checked their website before we left and there was no mention of that; for a place thats in the middle of nowhere and prides itself on its menu, this should have been stated somewhere online. We went ahead and ordered (waffles, pancakes and French toast sans the pralines because they were out of those) and the food was good, but I live in New York and not even places there charge $14 for pancakes, especially if they dont come with a side of bacon. And considering you have to order at the counter, the prices should not be that high because its certainly not fine dining.

@PINCHME333 You did realize you where eating a 100% Angus Beef Burger that was hand carved in house weighing over a 1/2 lb at 10 oz? You did sit down and chose that item from a price listed menu before your ordered. Buyers remorse perhaps? We feel we are offering one of the best burger experiences in the immediate area which we produce with great care and attention from top notch ingredients- not cheap filler meats. Sorry, but I am not buying your tepid review. Especially when 99% of the customers who experience out very unique burger rate it among the best they have ever eaten.

"Not My Presidents Day", really? Perhaps now you will understand why its a terrible idea to intermix your business with politics. Its ok to have a personal opinion, but to tying your open-to-the-public business into it is just plain stupid and is insulting to those who dont share the same beliefs. For that reason alone, I wont patronize your establishment. I dont want to walk in there immediately feeling like Im unwelcome. Whats even worse...your business is regularly closed on that day. Your attempt to seek attention worked, but probably not the in the way you intended.

The "executive chef" Jeff Besecker has posted on his personal Facebook page about strangling our newly elected president to death. He also posts about being closed Feb 20th in observance of #notmypresidents day, in which theyre closed Mondays anyway. How does that make sense? Seems like hes more worried about getting his political opinion out there than serving his customers decent food from what Ive read of the reviews. Personally Ive been here once and the food was not so great and expensive I might add. Just like the other reviewers have stated.

Arrived at 9 on a Saturday. The wait to sit was fast. The wait to recieve drinks was 20 min. They were out of sticky buns and the pastry shelf was empty. They were out of most things. I would say they over hyped this place with advertising. Food was a 7 on a scale of 10. At least the service was friendly.

Would highly recommend the Biscuits and Gravy, Bourbon Praline French Toast and Turkey Hash. Split the meal with my wife and had a ton of food leftover. Would put the Biscuits and Gravy up against any I have had, even those from Mississippi.

After hearing how great this place is I was underwhelmed. The food was not bad in any way at all, but not worth the price. Service was par for a restaurant like this. I will try it again and edit this review accordingly.

If you are in the area, thus should be the top of your list for dining. If you are not in the area, it is well worth the trip. You will not be disappointed. Great service, great food, terrific downtown setting.

Nah. The owner made it clear how he feels about politics and people with different political opinions. Thats his right, just as this one star review is my right. No patronage from my friends or family.

Any business that lets politics get in the way of service is too childish for my money. Havent even ate here and Im disgusted that I never had the chance and never will. What a shame.

Its nice to find an up scale eclectic place to eat in the middle of our farmland of down home cooking. Its a great change of pace.

What a complete waste, hopefully this place is made an example of and they learn not to mix there own political views with business
