THE course for locals. Its rated #4 in the country for friendliness for good reason. Nearly perfect conditions 360 days a year. The CC is as challenging as you wish to make it. The scratch golfer from the tips or the octogenarian playing the Red Tees will each enjoy their rounds. Almost everyone plays from the Blues (~6000 yds) or the Whites (~5500 yds). The Golds will challenge the solid single-digit players. The welcoming smiles found everywhere make the experience especially memorable. Management and staff go out of their way to exceed your expectations from the minute you arrive in the parking lot. My wife and I have played over 100 rounds a year here for the last 10 years. For the quality of the course and the friendly ambiance the cost as an annual pass holder may be the best deal in the country.

super golf course and well worth the drive from the outer banks. greens and fairways were in pristine condition and there are three spectacular holes - the par 3 over water on the front side and both the 9th and 18th are majestic par 5s bringing water into play. a few holes are a bit ho-hum, but thats to be expected. a minor quibble was the snack cart girl went awol after only one visit on #4. finally, the price was almost half of what youd pay on some of the outer banks lesser courses. all in all, an unexpected treat and well make it our number one choice on further excursions to the outer banks. ps we also picked up the excellent duck nc sticker in duck - if you havent seen it, it blows away the obx and all other stickers by a mile

Played here on 5/30/11. Found the Tee shots to be fun & challenging with wide open fairways on most holes. The greens are very true. Easy to read and the break you see is exactly how it breaks when you putt. I have played the sister course the Pointe several times and found this to be a much better option for the $$. There was not as many people as the Pointe. Most of the people I met are members & said that members usually prefer to play The Carolina Club. This is a must play.

Service was second to none. We were greeted with a golf cart immediately after parking our car. Course was in beautiful condition (July, 2017), and our round was perfect in terms of the pace of play. We were not pushed, and did not feel that we were pushing the group in front of us. Great afternoon rate for my 13-year old son and I. We will definitely golf there again, if we revisit the OBX.

Great time was had by all. Very friendly and courteous staff. A couple of really challenging holes but for the most part wide open and well cared for. I will come back.
