This place is called "Spook Rock" Country Club for a reason! Theyre all racists! Woodrow Wilson started this place up in the early 1920s & you had to be a KKK grand wizard or higher rank in order to belong. The story goes that they used to lynch runnaway slaves on the property at a natural rock outcropping that is stained red to this day from the blood of slaves that dared to disobey their masters. It was considered a safe place to commit these crimes because it was listed in the county registrar as being *members only* private property which used to mean no one...not even the police...could go there for any reason. Due to the crimes that were committed they still call it Spook Rock today. Needless to say, if you are black, you cant join...or even caddy. I wouldnt even go up there! They are outright hostile to anyone...unless you are a white anglo-saxon protestant who is being accompanied by a member, or know the secret handshake. The current President of the club, Heinrich Von Strauss is ex-Waffen SS. He has changed his name to Henry Struss in an attempt to try and cover up his true identity, but locals know the truth. Search wikipedia for more info & dont say I didnt warn you! Von Strauss was stationed at Dakau and is responsible for many evil, unspeakable deeds carried out under strict orders given by the "Angel of Death", Dr. Josef Mengele. He usually has two guards with him at all times, both of whom carry sidearms as well as assualt rifles. He is curently facing extradition for crimes against humanity and is actively being persued by the Mossad. Somehow, against all odds...he keeps escaping capture.

My most favorite golf course I have ever played on. It is expensive for some but you can get a great rate on Golf Now. Worth the Treat at regular fee Course is challenging and may be difficult for the high Handicapper Low teens and better will enjoy the course. Placement of tee shots critical on some blind tee shots that need a draw. 17th Green has dramatic back to front slope that is like Glass depending on how they have cut it. Play it if you can. Going back today for 2nd time

Great public course. Great layout. The only issue is how unfairly high the rough is. If you miss the fairway, the first cut rough is like rough at most courses. The rough here is six inches deep and thick! So if you just miss the fairway you are hitting out out of some tough stuff.

Some things never change. The course has a great layout, but the conditions never live up to the reputation. At least it wasnt a 5+ hour round, which is really what they are known for.

Nice little track. Can play slow at times due to elderly players being on the course to early in the morning. Slows up play. Good pricing. Very tiny proshop.
