Good and affordable place for Olympic weightlifting. Theres a coach for M/W/F and Tu/Th/Sa. Platforms and bumper plates are pretty worn out; there are some newer bumper plates. On M/W/F: Very approachable coach, good environment if you want to get into weightlifting, everyone is supportive. Ping pong balls coming to the platforms may be annoying to some. Weight room is relatively small and can get crowded. Dumbbells arent placed in the proper slots in the rack. There may be some individuals that dont know English and wont understand "can I work in with you?" or "how many sets do you have left?" Cardio room is medium sized, one long hallway. Some of the equipment is old, some is newer, however they are all usable. At the moment there are two treadmills that are out of service. There are plenty of small lockers to use in the basement. The basement restrooms could be better taken care of and the shared space to change clothes is limited if there are more than two people changing. Theres a large basketball court upstairs and depending on the schedule, there may be badminton, volleyball, or basketball being played (to my knowledge). The staff members are generally friendly and helpful. Havent had a problem with them yet.
Ok equipment but every things in a small long area (tight squeeze when packed with ppl) No gender lockers, lockers out in the open Pingpong, cardio room, weight room, small skinning area (bike machines), basketball gym (weight room looks different then the one in the picture(narrower and one wall mirror))
This is the no-frills spot for Olympic Weightlifting in NYC. Crowded platforms and barbells. Mon/Wed nights are coached. Tues are free-for-alls.
Basketball court almost all of the time gets crowded during teen sessions by the high schoolers but overall the gym and amenities are cool.
. Very courtesy and con of Tammy Mitchell she wants the place very well and keep that under control conservative
Getting a membership is easy. If you came for the gym dont expect much. Stick to a better rec center
It is the best summer camp ever alive. So stop with the stupid chicha. Its the best
Offers a lot of classes and also has many recreation rooms
