A group of 5 of us went for dinner on Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. I have gone to Lake George all my life several times throughout the year and decided to try King Neptunes for dinner, despite not going there for many years, if ever. I quickly realized why it had been so long... The service was horrible. Our waitress must have been new because she did t know the drink menu, food menu, or what came with the food. There is no draft beer service on the second floor (not the waitresses fault, but she didnt know what bottled beer they could offer instead). The second floor has the nice lake view (which is the only reason to eat there) so you wouldnt want to eat inside on the first floor just for the draft beer. Now, the menu had 3 spelling typos that we picked up on (fench fries, lemondade, bonelss), which should have been a sign. The waitress told be my fish sandwich came with fries for extra, which the menu clearly said it came with it. Two in our party ordered burgers and she asked one how he wanted it cooked, but not the other person. The waitress brought three sodas out, but only two had straws. She never did come back with the third straw, even after we asked for it. The food was mediocre, at best. The wait for the food took 45 to 60 minutes and it wasnt even busy. She said the food would be right out and it didnt show up for another 20 minutes. I had to ask what the status of our food was. After looking around the deck, it looked like nobody had the food, either. We were told the waitress that the kitchen was slow making it! Obviously... When we were done eating, nobody took any plates from the table. After waiting ten minutes with dirty plates, we had to ask a different waitress for our waitress because she was nowhere we could see. She came, we requested the check, and she went away empty handed. One would think she would take some plates with her. The bill was $115 for 5 of us. Very pricey for what we received. The bathroom was also a mess with toilet paper all over the floor, no soap, and holes in the wall like someone removed the mirror. Disgusting. Now I understand why there was a wait list at other area restaurants. I rarely write reviews and never this long, so that shows how much I disliked our experience. The place seemed to be geared towards the nightlife with bands, but decided to offer some food earlier for some more business. Never again will I eat there, nor will I recommend anyone to King Neptunes.

Had the best experience at King Neptunes. Went to Lake George for the dog beach and encountered a downpour a few hours into the afternoon. Wandered around the downtown area with my dog once the storm cleared. The women working at King Neptunes on Sat, May 30, 2015 were fantastic. They hurried to wipe the rain off a table and chairs on the outside deck. Not only was it okay for my dog to be there (two other places with outside decks had been rather rude even about the inquiry of a dog outside on a deck with few if any other patrons on the deck at that time), one of the women brought him a bowl of water. Having recently moved from MI, I ordered a MI beer. One of the women came back to make me aware that there were two Founders beers on tap and not just the one I had ordered. If not for their kindness, I would have been forced to leave Lake George and head home instead of enjoying my time there, hanging out, having a drink and with my dog. THANK YOU!!

The wait staff was rude any time we asked questions about the menu. We waited over an hour for our food and had to ask for refills because the staff wasnt paying attention to us at all. We literally had to flag someone down any time we needed something. The water tasted like it came out of the toilet. I got my fish fry and there was a hair in it. The chili and clams were cold. There was one guy actually doing his job but most of the time the female wait staff was just standing around chatting. The ketchup was exploded and gross all over the caddy it was in. Then they didnt even take the replacement for the fish fry off the bill. Will not be going back here. Ever.

Was seated today for lunch and was never approached by another staff member.. we sat at the table for over 20 minutes while 4 waitresses just talked and walked by and only check other tables but never bothered with us Ive had great experiences at this location in the past...Im very disappointed with service as a whole.. still will return for nightlife in the future but never to eat again.. I think its time to replace your waitstaff before you lose more customers.. never expected that from here ..

Food was good for what it was it the wait staff wasnt exactly good, the bartender Joe was doing all he could to keep the place running, doing everything from bartending, bussing tables, garbage runs, and trying to get the wait staff to actually do their job so I would be scared to see the place if he wasnt there

This place is 5 star overall but last night i ordered an ipa and it was $8.50. Sorry, short of a happy ending, no ipa is worth that and the band, formula 5 didnt deserve the stage bc a summer Saturday night at Neptunes is special. Seen alot of awesome bands there. 5 star overall but a 2 star night.

Took my sister there, were seated after 5 minutes of confusion, then after 15 min of waiting with no introducation to a waiter or even asking us for drinks we got up and left. Even though people who got in after us were getting drinks, menus, etc. overall not happy at all.

Neptunes and Duffys were best of the waterfront bar/restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Good bar food, a few local beers, live music, clean place, and friendly staff. Back patio is dog friendly. The waitress immediately brought out a bowl of water for our pup.

Food is not fresh or homemade. I got a Greek salad and there was no edible lettuce in it. Kids Mac n cheese came in a filthy, greasy plastic bowl with rotten grapes. The view is great, tho, and so is the mojito. Staff is nice. Maybe its just a burger joint!

Dingy bar on the lake. Great views. The place is huge. Pool tables, live bands, free WiFi. The place is dirty though. We went on Taco Tuesday and had their $2 tacos - they were awful. Drinks are mediocre at best. Nice selection of beers on tap.

Odd place. Had lunch there outside and there was great views. The service was great and the food was good. Odd that when you go inside you realize that this is basically a nightclub that serves drinks and good food during the day.

Had a couple drinks in the downstairs bar. Beautiful room, with a view of the lake. Friendly bar staff, nice locals. Great local beer selection on draft. 80s music on Pandora, nice. One of my favorite stops of the day!
