We originally got married here in 2013 and had an amazing time. I dont know what happened, but it seems their customer service has gone downhill. On 10/2/16 we signed a contract with Sammy-Jo (who is no longer there) for a vow renewal in 2018. She tried to give us a simple luncheon at first, but I explained we wanted this to be a second wedding. I told her about our original wedding in 2013 and she took one look at our original contract from 2013 and just said "that should have never happened". She also explained that our event could not go into the evening hours at all or we would be charged evening prices, so we signed for an earlier event that would end by 4pm because she said that was the latest it could be without being charged more. We felt like the level of service we were getting as returning customers was not very good, but we decided to sign anyway because we really loved it there. I emailed Sammy-Jo on 7/26/17 with a question about the cocktail hour. A week went by with no response, so I called The Mansion only to find out she was no longer employed there. I was told the head of sales would call me back after the meeting she was in was over, but I didnt receive a call so I called back the next day. Then I was told she was actually out sick the past few days, so she was not actually in a meeting the previous day? I was transferred to Caitlin and she answered my question, but I expressed again that I was not impressed with the level of service and length of time(a hour less than we had in 2013) I was getting as a returning customer and no communication about Sammy-Jo being gone. She then asked me if we were married there previously; so the fact that we were returning customers was not even noted in our file. She then told me we could add an extra hour to the event for $5/person. So now all of a sudden we were allowed to go into the evening hours? I then felt like things were misrepresented from the start and was tired of the run around and bad communication. I asked Caitlin if she was my new contact and if I could get her email address; her response was "Um if you want." I felt this was an unprofessional response. My wedding is still a year away and I was feeling like if the communication and customer service was like this now, I didnt want to deal with it when my wedding was closer. I got contact info and emailed the Sales Manager and General Manager on 8/19/17 about my concerns and that we decided to sign with a different venue due to all of the problems. Yet again, a week went by with no response or acknowledgment of my email. I sent a certified letter on 8/25/17 and received a response today from the VP of Sales & Marketing stating they got my cancellation but will not refund my original $600 deposit since it is non-refundable. He also brought up how I didnt pay the deposit in March, yet there was no actual deposit due in March since Sammy-Jo had confirmed with me via email on 1/17/17 that there was a typo in the contract and that it should have said March 2018 instead of 2017. I guess she never updated my file to reflect that. In my opinion, especially as a returning customer who was about to pay thousands of dollars again for a second wedding, they should have refunded my deposit to keep things on good terms. I am very disappointed with this experience. We used to go there for their Sunday buffet brunches too, but will not return after this. Everything was wonderful in 2013, I am just shocked how poorly things were handled this time. Edit: Oh they responded. They say they want to treat their customers as "VIP for life" but still wont refund my first deposit. In my opinion if they truly felt those words theyre saying, theyd try to make it right by refunding a $600 deposit.

We were on the third floor for the Thanksgiving buffet. We were originally introduced to a waitress who was responsible for bringing our drinks. She was difficult to find the entire time but other waiters and waitresses helped track her down several times and made sure our drinks were brought to us eventually. I believe it was not her fault but that she was being expected to do too much. The live singer was a bit too close to the buffet and made things slightly uncomfortable. The food was very good for the most part. The only things my entire family agreed on being underwhelming were both kinds of stuffing. They were dry, loose, large cubes of bread. They definitely had a difficult time keeping things warm. I had two bites of prime rib and asked for it to be taken away because it was cold. Everything else was just a bit warm, but could have been kept warmer. The one thing that made our experience truly unenjoyable was the lack of any type of enforced dress code. Paying $200+ for four people at a very nice place, we expect to not have to look at inappropriately dressed people while we eat. There was one female in particular in a lace crop top which was much too small. Nobody comes to Thanksgiving dinner at a nice place wanting to see a persons entire stomach while they eat. Personally, I dont think I will return for Thanksgiving, but I believe its a beautiful venue that has a ton of potential for private parties and weddings.

My reservation was for 3 oclock. Not wanting to be late we choose to do the 4:00 Easter egg hunt. Upon being seated I ordered 1 Mamosa which was complementary. The waiter came over and explained that on Easter Sunday it wasnt free and yes the website was confusing. He finally comped it but it was still an embarrassing moment. Much of the food was cold and picked over. Then we were told if we left our seats to do the egg hunt we werent able to come back, which gave us 50 minutes to try and scarf down our meal. Again after arguing with them, we were told that after the egg hunt we could come back up. However we had already scarfed down our meal thinking we werent able to. Not to mention it was so embarrassing I didnt want to come back up anyway. The kicker was that when we went downstairs so our daughter could participate in the egg hunt, they were already wrapping up and it was only 3:55!!! The maintenance man said to her Ill go throw some eggs down if you want to pick them up. Are you serious? One of the main reasons we chose the mansion over other places was because of the egg hunt. My daughter really wanted to do that. I will never ever eat at the mansion again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone that I know. It was so so overpriced and such an utter disappointment. Maybe any other Sunday it wouldnt have been so upsetting. However it was horrible to have such an awful experience on Easter Sunday.

5/15/2015 Winslows JR and Senior Prom was cut short by a power outage. They were in the dark for 2hr before they were told to go home. After all the money that was paid to the venue, the school was trying to find away to reschedule the prom for the kids. The venue didnt want honor the request to make it up. They took the money and ran. No music, No food, No dancing and No Pictures to remember that night. Another venue heard about this, stepped up and offered for free to redo the prom for the kids. We were there for a wedding last month and the waitress was rude to our table and even after some of the people from the table left, she was still talking about it to us. She couldnt stop talking about the incident. I hope that other parents post a negative comment. That wasnt fair to the kids and the high school. I had to put a star just to save this comment.
