This course is my personal favorite of the fine courses in the Monmouth County Park System. It once was a private golf course and has retained some of the features of a private course. On many holes , the golfer needs to make shots, hit fairly accurate drives, and when the greens are in tip top shape, negotiate some interesting putts. The only draw back is the lack of adequate warm up facilities. Usually I leave the round, complimenting the staff about the fine condition of the course.

This is a nice course thats not too difficult compared to Charleston or Hominy. Its hard enough though so dont be fooled. Most of the fairways are pretty wide so you wont lose too many balls!!! The back nine in particular is beautiful with lots of long holes and mature trees all over. Overall a nice round of golf and hopefully you shouldnt snap too many clubs!!

The improvements made over the winter are spectacular me the fairways and greens are in perfect condition. There are many new tee boxes and many of the traps have been redone.. challenging course and cant wait to play it again. Awesome, is the word.

My only complaint would be the quality of the sand in the sand traps. Everything else plays like a top-notch course.
