My husband and I tried the Wheelhouse Restaurant located at Skylands Stadium when they first opened. We were very disappointed. It looked like they had thrown together some chairs and tables and hung a few pictures on the walls. It was barren. The other night we decided to give it another go. What nice changes have happened! The Wheelhouse has been re-decorated. The menu offers nice choices.The service is excellent and the food was tasty and nicely prepared. The restaurant was brimful. Restaurants struggle for survival in Sussex County. We will return to The Wheelhouse again. Try it - youll like and it is kind to your wallet.

LOVE this place. This is baseball at its best. The team is hit or miss (pun intended) and more often than not you watch as the Miners get blown out of the water. However, youre watching it from a 2nd row seat behind the 1st base dugout that you got for $12. The staff at the stadium are extremely professional and courteous (I have never met more enthusiastic ticket takers!) and the entire place is an affordable night out for a family. They even have a bouncy house, train ride, and a couple of carnival type games for the kids. Combined with free parking and fireworks in the summer time, it cant be beat.

We were happy to hear that the Stadium was going to be used again after the Skyhawks left. Hopefully the Miners will stick around awhile. During the Christmas season they put on a nice light show in the parking lot. Weve also been here for an indoor garage sale. Finally made it to see a Miners game....it was opening day at the stadium May 2017. What a game! They had skydivers land on the field before the game started and fireworks after the game. The game itself went into the 11th inning. Probably the best game Ive seen played at the stadium over the years.

This stadium is much nicer than I expected. Ive been to other ballparks built in the early 90s and this one is surprisingly among the best. Theres a new team playing here, the Miners, that appears to be committed to putting out a good product. The staff was great and friendly which is a welcome change from what I usually experience in the northeast. I understand this ballpark is sort of in the middle of nowhere but still it would be great if more people would check it out.

Sussex county needs baseball, thats for sure. Its a beautiful stadium in a beautiful location in the middle of a Corn Field. Tickets are pricey considering its independent ball. Could go see a AAA team for about the same price. Food and concessions though are cheaper than expected which is nice and perhaps offsets the prices of tickets, but Im going there to see a game first, enjoy consessions 2nd.

I loved the ice event because it was something different to do.all the ice sculptures well beautifully well cared.like nothing Ive never seen before.i also enjoyed the music,colored lights,and free Ice throne photo.Thank you so much for all your heard work.and look forward to going again in the future. I can not describe how much I love it here. They have pretty good food and wonderful programs. The Unlocked one is so much fun. You should definitely check it out. The baseball is a joy to watch and they put on shows in between innings! BEST STADIUM EVER!

Nice venue . . . a bit of a drive from most everywhere but you pass some great small towns, restaurants and a number of diners along the way. We saw Frozen during the winter but I can see having a wonderful time during the baseball season.

Fun place to watch a baseball game close to home and for not much money. Great for families. Only 4 stars because the long lines for refreshments are outrageous. We especially enjoy the games that have fireworks, also.

It has a very nice family feel to it. The team is great. Last time we were here there was a team from Japan playing. At the end of the game all players lined up at the gate and we were able to talk to the players.

Very family friendly atmosphere. The staff are polite and helpful. Its a great stadium to sit back, relax, and watch Americas pastime game played by athletes not making millions of dollars.
