My wife and I went here last year and weve never been treated so rudely in our lives! The owners grandson was apparently playing behind us and on our last hole, his drive almost hit my wife while she was in the fairway hitting her 2nd shot. When the ranger drove by I flagged him and let him know. He said "no problem Ill go talk with him right now". We were on the green when he came back with a smurk on his face and said "let me see your receipt". I said excuse me? He said "the guy behind you is the owners grandson and hes basically sending you a message to hurry up because youre both playing out of one bag". I quickly showed him my receipt for TWO players and advised him that I told the lady in the pro shop that we would be golfing out of one bag...she said "no problem". I then asked him if this was standard procedure for golfers (especially relatives of the owner) to drive a ball while other customers were on the fairway. He made some smug remark under his breath that we couldnt hear so I told him I was going back to the clubhouse to report this and get my money back. He became irate and followed my wife and I into the clubhouse. I spoke with the owners wife and she told me that I should have "let her grandson play around". WE WERE ON OUR LAST HOLE!! Long story short they never even apologized or offered to make it right. The ranger got in my face and in my wifes face and was swearing at us right in front of the owners wife. I sent an official certified letter to Lochmere asking for a refund...the golf pro called me a couple days after and said he felt bad but the owners would not let him issue us a refund. I had no choice but to send a letter to the BBB and I now tell everyone I know to stay away from this place!

I have been a member here now for 5 years and my experience here has been amazing. Ive been playing golf since I was 5, and Lochmere is in better shape than any public track I have played in my life....Vic in the pro shop, Randy the Superintendant, and the Chaille family Ive been nothing but courteous and accommodating every time I have played.... I have played over a thousand times in my life, and Lochmere CC is the best conditioned public course in the State, maybe beyond... Stop in this summer and youll feel like your playing a private track, then have a cold beer and a bit to eat as the new chef will not disappoint......

I have been playing golf for over fifty years. Have played most of the public and private course throughout New Hampshire. It is my opinion that Lochmere Country Club is the finest public golf course in New Hampshire. The course is always well manicured. It offers a vast array of challenges from rolling hills to undulating greens. Views from some of the holes are breathtaking. Pro Vic Stanfield is one of the nicest pros you will every encounter at a course. His knowledge of the game and his teaching abilities make Lochmere a place you will want to call "your home course".

My rating is for the course. Best layout and always in excellent shape. Despite what others say about their staff, Ive never had a bad experience. Im also not needy, I go for the course. My friends and I think its the best around and weve played at Atkinson, beaver meadow, canterbury, pheasant ridge, pembroke pines, stonebridge...you name it, weve played it. By far the most dynamic layout and always in excellent shape. Honestly, Im surprised at some of the bad reviews on here. Ive never experienced any of that. See you soon Lochmere!

I have played all over the state in Profile Seniors, and Lochmere is about the nicest public course in the state. The greens are always great and the course is well designed and always well maintained. I frequently join with out of state visitors in the summer who are amazed at how nice the course is and how inexpensive it is compared to all courses in MA. A great course with a great pro. I have played here more than 100 times each of the last 4 years. It is absolutely one of the best courses in NH.

My husband plays golf at lochmere golf course for years and tells everyone its one of the best in the state. Hes played in the senior profiles and traveled around and with friends has played over the years all over the state and just brags about the course. He talks about Vic the pro and Randy the best greens keeper there is. The whole family has always treated my husband and I with our friends great.

My friend and I golfed here and could believe how rude the ranger was. I felt like we were treated like second class citizens just because were not members. This man ruined our entire experience. I will never go back to this place again. There are many other wonderful golf courses nearby that are run by much better people. These people do not deserve your money!!

I play Lochmere at least a dozen times per year. When I bring friends they are always outspoken about their surprise of how nice the course is. They do an exceptional job maintaining the grounds. I often golf other courses as well and Lochmeres grounds are usually the best. I am not a member but have always had nothing but pleasurable rounds playing here.

The course was Immaculate. I couldnt believe I was able to play on such a beautiful course this close to home. It blew my mind. I felt like I was playing the Masters except for a better-looking course because I was actually on it!!! Good job to the greenskeepers. A very good job!!

I would like to tell u about my experience at lochmere county club . I feel spoiled every time I go there ,from the staff to the owners of the best golf course I have ever played at.. I have a very hard time playing any were else. Play lochmere and you will see what iam saying .

My wife and I started playing golf again after 25 years of kid duty. We played at a handful of local courses and decided that Lochmere was by far the best one. We liked it so much we became members this year. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The pro is fantastic!

Spent Saturday at Lochmere. The staff from Pro Vic to Johnny where amazing. My wife and Granddaughter told me they are the nicest people ever. Very professional and bent over backwards to make sure we had a great day. Play this course you will enjoy everything about it
