Relatively nice course, decent value. Good meetup location for me and some of my buddies, but have to say the customer service was awful. We played the front 9 with carts and came in to ask if we could play another 9. The guy working the counter said "Walking." I said no we would like to use the carts again and he responded louder with "WALKING!" Eventually another guy came out and explained the carts were dead from a tournament and we would need to walk, fine, no problem. If he had explained that rather than just repeating "WALKING" over and over again I would have been fine. The same rude guy from behind the counter told us we needed to be done by 7:45pm. We flew through the back 9 and were finishing the last hole when the same guy came flying out of the clubhouse on a cart at 7:40 and told us to "PICK THEM UP!" We asked if we could finish the hole and he said again "PICK THEM UP!" One of my friends went inside and told him that we liked the course, and the value and it was a good meetup spot for us but we would not be returning because he was so rude. He tried to claim he gave us "10 extra minutes." We looked at our watches and it was 7:47. There are much better places to go in the area if you want to play golf for cheap.

For $16 bucks on a weekday, and $20 on the weekend, its a great 9 hole course, if a bit short. The fact that you can handily reach every green in two, and that several of the fairways are alongside one another, means that you can usually find your ball if its not in the fairway and the opportunity exists to score well if youre hitting the ball accurately. The best holes IMO are 1, 6, 8 and 9. All the greens are in terrific shape...much better than other courses who charge two or three times as much as SMGC. If youre within 10 miles, you should be playing here weekly.
