Unfortunately there isnt a zero star option because 1 star is generous. On multiple occasions Ive gone out of my way to come here for a change of pace and myself and 3 kids were turned away and told the place is all booked and to "make a reservation next time", meanwhile the place is empty. Since then Ive called ahead and every time told, dont worry, were not that busy. Tonight sealed it for me though. Brought the kids solely to play the arcade, frankly the lanes suck, and arrived later than planned due to bad roads. Called while enroute to confirm closing time but when we walked into the arcade the card machines are shut off and no one behind the counter. When the dolt does show up he tells me that the arcade is closed. Without saying a word I just looked around at the packed arcade and before I could retort he said, well, the card machines are all shut down (mind you these are self-service, which this whole place should be). I said, I have to bring my own card? To which he replied, well, yeah, weve already "done the drawers" for the night. He could see that I was just a dad with 2 kids there to be entertained, not some drunk college kid (not that theres anything wrong with that) trying to cause problems, but end of conversation. Its a shame, this place has a ton going for it (even with the creepy, always empty psuedo-casino attached bar), location being one thing, but the service continues to purely suck. The only reason I ever drove the extra distance was because theyre (supposed to be) open an hour later than my local place but never again. *Footnote ~ the guys who run the food area are always very nice, laid back, and really put the other guys in the building to shame when it comes to customer service.

We had my daughters 9th birthday here. It was affordable and kids had fun but staff was unorganized and seemed to like socializing with eachother more than assisting guests. I was over charged and although they made it right wheb I complained that two of my party guests got horrible burn/rash from laser tag vest being to big and heavy they seemed to care less. I simply want parents to beware that the vests are heavy and not meant to fit children causing horrible rug burn like rashs on shoulders and back. I wisg the staff had taken my feedback and did something to fix the problem or at the very least let guests know! All in all the kids had fun and didnt pick up on the unorganized staff or lack of them wanting to do their job at work!

We went on a Friday and had to wait 30 minutes to bowl. So we figured we would try the arcade. Well it turns out you must purchase an arcade card to use it. So we sat for half and hour and eventually got to bowl. Nothing too bad. yet. When we went to bowl, (we all spin our balls) the balls instantly hooked into the gutter, which caught us by surprise, and we thought it was nothing, but we kept bowling and couldnt spin the balls at all. Im sure the lanes are fine for casual bowlers, but we asked when they had piled there lanes and they said 5 days ago. Any bowling place with serious bowlers should know to oil there lanes more frequently than that. 2/10 the guy at the desk was nice

it is fun to go out and have a good time bowling but it seems every time we go to dover bowl there are issues---1 issue is dirty alleys ---2 is always problems with the scoreboard and the gate getting stuck---3 the balls not returning -- all these issues take a lot of time away from bowling. the last few visits we have had issues with getting candlepin alleys. dont know if there might be a little favoritism happening there.-------------my recommendation is go somewhere else

I spent over a hundred and fifty dollars on a fun evening for my seven friends and I, it was decided that we wanted some candy and I inquired about spending money on the candy that they had in stock and I was not only denied I was kicked out for wanting to buy the candy they had sitting in the window. this was embarrassing and disappointing from the management that was in severe for the the night.

We were lucky and got a lane before they got busy it was a 30 minute wait for our lane and after that they were reserved for the rest of the night. Bowling was fun even though our game glitched a few times and had to ask someone to fix it. Service from the bar and kitchen were both good, we ordered a pizza and three Angry Orchards.

Really good place to go with people of any age. The bowling, bumper cars, arcade, and lazier tag are all great. Their food is a little expensive but really good. The candlepin lanes arent in great shape which is a little dissapointing but all the other lanes work great. The Sunday night glowbowl deal is a really good value.

Overall Dover Bowl has a lot to offer with fun games, bumper cars, laser tag, good food, and a bar. But Im a candlepin bowler born and raised. I like that they offer 10 pin and candlepin. But their candlepin lanes are pretty beat up and the pin action is not great. Bowlarama in Portsmouth, NH has great candlepin lanes.

Only bowling place still around offers both regular and candle pin bowling. Recently remodeled give a fresh clean feel but need to fix sound system. Arcade is impressive. Bumper cars and laser tag are nice. Many of the staff members seem like they hate their job. Good specials on bowling most days

Dover bowl is a beautiful facility with candle pin and regular bowling for all ages. They have great food and drink options. They also offer an arcade, laser tag, bingo, and other events. Great place to meet up with friends in a family friendly environment.

Great place to bowl it has real bowling and stick bowling and it has a great pizza restaurant inside the alley and it has bumper cars and lazer tag and a nice arcade ,i like to go here and the prices are reasonable

OMG! This place has it all! Bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, arcade, and food and beverage. Awesome place to take kids. They have birthday packages too! Their pizza is delicious.

My family always has fun here. Great place for children birthday parties. The staff is always friendly and the place is well maintained. The pizza is some of the best in Dover.

Candlepin lanes are really terrible. They removed some of their candlepin lanes leaving only 4 and it is obvious that they are not well taken care of. Such a shame

Love the atmosphere! Good food, great fun. We had my nephews birthday party here and there was plenty of things to do for all ages. Will be back for sure!

As 10 pin bowling goes, you could do a lot worse. They make an effort and are constantly redesigning their bar area. Fun for the whole family!

5 dollars per game is absurd. Especially for an alley that is dirty and dated. Go somewhere else and dont feel bad about the extra drive.

The staff are very friendly. The owner goes out of his way to accommodate you. The Lazer tag is awesome but limited to 10 people.
