Hate to spoil the party but this place just isnt ready for prime time. Great sized place, but the seating arrangement and BYOB policy has to be updated. First, the seating: I was in row "H." Now the seat rows are designated by a piece of masking tape affixed the last chair on the aisle. Kind of amateur. Now the chairs are a mishmash of hardwood chairs, metal chairs with padding and some folding chairs. Not a big deal except for the fact that the padded metal chairs are about 2" lower than the wooden chairs, and get this... they put the taller chairs in front. So if you are unlucky enough to get assigned a metal chair you have a 2" disadvantage. And if you are under 6 (like most women) and you get one of the shorter chairs, you have a very slim chance to see the act on stage. My wife had one of the shorter chairs. I had to crane my neck to see the performance all night and my wife saw nothing. I am over 6 foot. Simple, temporary solution would be to put the shorter chairs in the front most rows. Duh. More on the chairs... The hardwood chairs are just that, hard wood. If you plan to stay for a show longer than 30 min expect a very uncomfortable show. My butt was numb. I also have to mention the BYOB policy. This is a very small venue. You can hear everything. I mean everything. And you can count on people bringing in all kinds of glass bottles filled with their beer, wine, etc. which is fine, except for the hard, concrete floor. So you get all kinds of people dropping cups, knocking over beer bottles, putting wine bottles down. During the show last night, Colin Hay was interrupted, and reacted to several people doing just that. He was ticked off and he let the patrons know of his displeasure with several pauses and priceless scowls of displeasure. Tupelo, you guys have something special just waiting to happen up there in Londonderry, you just need the right person working there to make some decisions, look the place over and make some serious changes. Once those changes are made I will come back. Until then, I will have to check the tour dates and catch an earlier or later show for the act I am looking to attend.

New Hampshire at its finest. Excellent performers, great sound, and a very laid back atmosphere. If you dont like concerts that are expensive, crowded, and loud, I would suggest taking a look at some of the upcoming shows at Tupelo. We just saw Amber Rubarth and it was phenomenal, but so is she! The only thing I will say is that I got stuck with the chair at the far left of our table so I either had to crane my neck or keep my back to the rest of the people at our table. Everyone else at the table seemed to have a decent view and was able to look past anyone in front of them. However, I was stuck directly behind a some tall guy who kept tilting his head directly in front of me when he had no reason to. Nothing to do with the venue itself, just the woes of a short person who will forever be stuck behind the tallest guy at the show. There is also a restaurant directly across the street that would be perfect for a pre-show dinner. And if you want to grab a quick bite to eat there are several other spots to eat (Wrap Shak is a personal favorite). Great location, great artists, excellent atmosphere. I highly recommend this venue!

The first show at the New Location of Tupelo Music Hall was Entrain at a pre-opening show on Saint Patricks Day and the venue and sound are spot on pristine. The venue is totally gutted and renovated for a full open area with all seats a great view for up to 760 and maintaining most of the close feel of the Tupelo of 12 years in Londonderry. The only big change is that we can not continue BYOB but have a new bar with great beer, wine and mixed drinks that are straightforward. (Jack and Coke etc.) Doors are open at 630 for an 8 oclock show all but Sunday when doors are open at 530 for a 7 oclock show. There are a variety of seating arrangements to choose from. The food is also great so you can eat and enjoy the show. Ann Wilson of Heart and her band did a great test of the sound system with Heart, Stones, the Who and new songs all impressive and pristine in sound. See you there....

Fantastic venue for concerts with an intimate feel. Stopped in to buy tickets for a friend and got a great tour of the place during a sound check. Amazing that it can fit nearly 700 people in there but its not at all crowded and every seat is great with excellent sound! The cheapest seats are actually the most comfortable. They apparently have dinner shows with table seating also and they do have a bar. Excellent new location with large parking lot and right across from Sports Zone in Derry, if you are familiar. Out of the way and on an industrial street, but once you find it, its easy to get to. Bathroom was large, modern and wheel chair accessible. Looking forward to seeing some great shows here. Thanks for the tour - you were a great spokesperson!

This is actually a really beautiful venue. The sound is phenomenal and it makes every performer sound like a headliner. Its such an intimate space that theres no such thing as a bad seat in the house. From what I gather, theyve made a couple of improvements. One of which is a food and drink bar. I unfortunately didnt grab a bite while I was there, but looking at the menu online, the food looks very enticing and appears to have a little something for everyone. I highly recommend the monthly open mics whether youre a performer or music lover. The crowd and staff are very supportive and both help to set a fun and relaxed atmosphere. You can tell by the acts that they book that these folks genuinely love music. Definitely check it out!

The show was great, ticketing was easy. Great lobby with great local beer selection (as well as wine and liquors). However, and this is a huge drawback, seating was far too narrow!!! Im a slim woman and had barely any shoulder space, my shoulders hurt half way through the show from having to sit so tightly. The chairs are similar to what you might sit in at a wedding- narrow metal with cushions built in. If the venue starts spacing out their seating more it would be much improved! As it is, I probably wouldnt return unless it was an artist I really wanted to see.

The sound is great! Its a small venue, and every seat is great (as long as youre not stuck behind a tall person). It only takes about an hour to get there from the monadnock region. Ive seen the English Beat there several times, and its my favorite place to see them. Free parking and byob (for $3/head). You can also buy coffee and soft drinks there, as well as snacks. The hummus plate is really good. I hope that when they move to a bigger venue in Derry that none of the charm is lost. I also hope that the English Beat returns soon!
