I dont know if the people of excelsior just wanted something so bad they accepted anything or what....the idea behind the cc is a good one but was poorly executed. I will start with the weights area this is a really good one they offer a lot of different work out exercise equipment. Other then that they took a lot of stuff and tried to jam all in one small area this is the only explanation I can muster up. 1 the volleyball court is right in the middle of the basket ball court 2 the indoor walking trail is way to small 3 if you ever been on a water slide at the end you get dropped in a ending pool area where you can then get out and go slide some more well the whole pool at the cc is about the size of an end pool not to mention it goes to a max 5 ft deep and has only 1 lap lane. I understand a wave pool would have been to much but an actual pool including the end pool and a small lazy river maybe with a least 3 lap lanes and a depth of 8 ft diving boards with a depth area of 15-20ft that could be utilized by the high school that donated the land in the first place it would not be asking to much. so all this and even more smashed in a small cramped area for the price of a family membership at 65 bucks a month. after this month I dont think so. ty for the try though. oh one last thought dont think about a kids bday there...ya they have rooms to rent and all that starting around 250 bucks for just a couple hrs....ya wow no. The staff were great the place was bright and shinny was also 2 days old and for 18mill dollars this place was a rip off to not only the school that donated the land but the tax payers.

Great staff and its a clean facility, theyre just missing some equipment in the gym. Seated calf raises and reverse pec deck are something I feel I should be able access when I pay good money for a membership. Over all I would give it a 4.5!

This is an amazing addition to our community. The amenities were well thought out, this center fullfills so many needs. It has something for all ages. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the community center a reality.

The staff are very friendly. They give you confidence and positive motivation. If you miss a few weeks theyll say "it happens, its life. You can get back on that horse, no problem".

Pool is relatively small. Kids are required to pass a swim test in order to use the pool without a life vest. The biggest part of the pool is roped off for laps.

I love going to the community center pumping the iron and working out but there isnt a whole bunch to do if you dont like working out
