Went to two away games for my team. First off, the stadium is top notch. My local stadium (Kaufman) is nice for its age, especially with the remodel, but Target Field is my new favorite. 1- Target Stadium looks great, and with downtown as a backdrop, it just adds to the experience. The seating layout gives you some great views of the game. I like that that the lower section is half the depth of what Kaufmann has, which gives you great seats even in the second tier lower.Something Target does that I really like is, no one can head down to their seats while a batter is at the plate. Once he is out or gets a hit, they open it up. Thats a nice touch to keep the fans views unobstructed during game play. 2- Their food is a lot better than standard fare too. My home stadium should have good food, especially in the so called BBQ capitol of the world, but it pales in comparison to Targets offering, which are many. Spend 11 bucks on a pulled pork sandwich at Kaufmann thats the size of a McDonalds double burger, and youll see what I mean. Target even sells sunflower seeds, something Kaufmann wont do. 3- Their employees are extremely friendly, and dont care where you are from. The girl in our section offered to take us to the front row if it didnt fill in. We were wearing away team clothes to boot. They genuinely seem to enjoy working there. At Kaufman if you go to a wide open area no one is sitting in, they treat you like a criminal. 4- We were there for 3 days, and didnt need a rental car with the electric trains that will take you where you need to go. If you go, (Shuttle from the the nearby airport) stay next to the mall. The first and last stops are the Mall of America and Target field. They just keep going back and forth every ten minutes or so (Blue Train). 6 bucks for a 24 hour pass. Highly recommended trip to take if youre looking for something out of town to do. $220 round trip SW Airlines. Non-Stop and an hour flight time

I was very excited for my daughters first Twins game and a little family time at Target Field and thoroughly impressed when I learned they had mothers rooms for nursing moms who, maybe, want a bit of privacy from the masses. That was, until I actually visited one. The field is beautiful, the food is great and everything is typically high quality, so I naturally assumed that the mothers rooms would be fairly comfortable. I was wrong. The guest services rep barely knocked as he opened the door to a room of 4 other nursing mothers. We are all part of the club, were used to our boobs being less than sacred these days, but that doesnt mean we dont deserve a little courtesy. The room itself left much to be desired. It looked as though it was never meant to be seen; the carpet was dirty, the amenities (changing table, diaper genie, etc) looked like theyd been salvaged from the Metrodome, and there was only a small fan in the non-air conditioned room. They couldnt even spring for matching chairs; it was like the back storage room where mismatched office chairs go to die. It honestly seemed like it was never meant to be a mother’s. Additionally, it appeared to be the only customer-facing amenity at Target Field that had had no money whatsoever put into it. For a venue that has charging stations that cater to customers that cant live without their phones, its pretty clear that they dont think very highly of the women nurturing their next generation of fans.

Gorgeous ballpark tucked into the edge of downtown. The most eco-friendly park in MLB. Great bars and restaurants and light rail just steps away, or you can sample the huge variety of quality vendors of all kinds inside this beautiful park. And the baseball is good right now! In seven years, Ive sat in every part of the park, from the Club seats behind home plate (dont forget your valet parking pass!) to the top of the stadium. Compact stadium with capacity under 40,000 means no bad seats anywhere. Parking is easy (except day games) and cheaper than most downtowns with three massive ramps surrounding the ballpark and connected by skyways. Or take the train from the airport or St. Paul, the station is right outside the left field foul pole, clean, safe and quick. Arrive an hour or so early and just walk around (planning your food vendor visits, I guarantee it will hard to decide). Yes, its Minnesota, so Spring and late Fall games can get cold and windy. Dress appropriately. Just a few rainouts a year because the field is so well designed and drains much better that older parks. AND THE WATER IS SAVED AND RECYCLED! Lots of seats available....go on stubhub on a nice day and you can get tickets for a song. Right now theres literally hundreds of seats available for $6 apiece! Dont wait till we Minnesotans realize this is a good team, cuz then youll be paying $50 for the cheap seats.

For a new stadium, Target Field is easily forgettable. Like man other "newer" stadiums it forgets to create an interesting fan experience for everyone. There arent great activities for kids, the architecture of the park is bland and uncreative, and the food options are generic and unfavorable. But perhaps worse of all, the staff is just terrible. Security guards threaten to throw you out for asking them basic questions, gate employees and ushers refuse to answer questions or be helpful, siting unavailable and mysterious policies. The entire organization has been trained to treat all fan interactions as incidents, any confusion with threats, and quiet as peace and happiness. They operate as if every fan is looking for an opportunity to create an riot, instead of addressing the needs and questions of their fans. Perhaps the best advice for anyone looking for a good game experience at Target Field is to find a nice place to eat outside the park, arrive 5 minutes before the game starts, dont bring any bags or anything security has to inspect, and simply arrive, sit, and leave without talking to anyone or experiencing the park at all. The experience is bland, a mirror of the park itself.

"Its Okay". The park isnt bad, but it is ugly. They chose some weird tan stone for all the accent, including the lid and steps of the dugouts. Its like when you are house shopping and you see the master bathroom and, mentally, you add the price of a complete remodel to the price of the house. It is ugly. We lucked in to tickets in 2 decent sections. The Legends Club behind home plate is great. Its where they keep the memorabilia in glass cases. Great for National League fans visiting to be reminded that the Twins have a history beyond the Puckett era. Also, the center field Catch area is quite nice, especially for a matinee/Sunday game. All inclusive food & drinks (including beer/wine) for the whole game. I got hammered. The view if the game kind of sucks, buts its cool and relaxing. Dont get Standing Room Only tickets in Catch unless you plan on showing up realty early. There are only 6 or 8 cocktail-height tables, we got the last one 20 minutes before first pitch. So, yes, its a stadium where baseball games are played. Nothing big, fancy, or nice. They hit a budget on tiles and Lowes had a sale that weekend. All said, its as humble as the home team.
