A park that has lower pedestrian traffic compared to other riverside parks near downtown Minneapolis. Absolutely loved the view of the river and most of all the sunset over the Plymouth Ave bridge. An added bonus is the Boom Island Lighthouse. A gorgeous place to take a walk in a good spring/summer afternoon!

A quick walk from downtown or the Northeast business district. Wide open green space with paved trails, great for walking, biking, etc. Cool view of the Minneapolis skyline. Be sure to take the trails over to Nicollet island to see some historic homes and the graffiti art near the railroad tracks.

Great and open park along the Mississippi River. There are many great benches right along the river. Its a great place to relax, have a picnic, go for a run, and even launch a boat or kayak. In the southern part of the park, along the river, you can find some places to hang a hammock too.

Was here for Rock the Garden. Thousands of people here but we did find some shady areas to sit. Great place to have a picnic, bike, walk or paddle your way down the river. Very close to Main Street attractions and the Stone Arch Bridge.

A great place to view the downtown skyline. Whether visiting the island alone or making a running / walking trail you can certainly make this a stop along the river to take in the view.

Quite park with a few shelters and paid parking. A cool feature of the shelters is the built in brick fire place in the middle (need to bring own fire wood).
