A GREAT park for people and especially dogs for any purpose, really. If you want to get your dog out there is a huge off leash area. If you want a pool for your kids, there is a huge pool. There are two playgrounds for kids, and a big open field for any sort of sport. Lots of picnic areas with tables and trees to shade. Gorgeous views of the second narrows bridge, north shore, and ocean. So even on a hot sweltering day, this would be one place that would have a breeze that would make it one of the cooler parks around. The only downside is the horrible lack of parking :/.

A reasonably sized park right by the water. Only problem is, it is right by the port as well so the views arent that great. There is also minimal parking, a small lot that fits about 35-40 cars and about three blocks of street parking. Nice for a walk. Theres an outdoor pool as well. For dog owners, theres an off leash area. Probably great for BBQ and picnics

Nice clean Park with lots of green area and a playground. If you have children who love trains there is a lot of Port activity near by. Street parking and a little lot is available, but during busy sunny summer days it will fill up very quickly. Great place to unwind by yourself, with your dog and with family.

Stopped by here to kill some time waiting for an accident to clear on the bridge. Been back a few times to picnic and hang out. It is a fantastic park with views of the mountains. Not too far from town and big enough not to be easily crowded.

Great pool in the summer. 6 lap swimming lanes and a huge open area including one edge you can walk into the pool like a beach. On a hot summer day there is very limited parking. There is a also a lot of blackberry bushes around the area.

Bang on location, views and pool! :) PNE Playground, and Hastings Race Track nearby for more fun. And, part of the Trans Canada Trail which stretches 24,000 kilometres from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic oceans.

Love this park in the summer, its out of the way, never overly crowded, it has an outdoor swimming pool, concession, picnic tables and you can barbecue, playground, a field as well as a beautiful beach.

Large outdoor pool, with snack bar. Entrance fee is economic. The park is large and popular with families for a BBQ or picnic. Beautiful view of the mountains and located next to the ocean.

Nice, quiet, spot for a picnic. There is a small public parking lot within walking distance to the park, and a few spots on the street for parking, but both fill up quickly on nice days.

Great park. Wide open spaces for walking, theres a public swimming pool, soccer field and a great view over to the North Shore. Also a kids playground and picnic tables.

Great little park with a nice outdoor pool. Also great if youre allergic to dogs as they are not permitted on the beach so it is uncontaminated.

Fantastic dog park. most dogs here are off leash, and they are installing big corrals for dogs that might not do so well off leash.
