A GREAT park for people and especially dogs for any purpose, really. If you want to get your dog out there is a huge off leash area. If you want a pool for your kids, there is a huge pool. There are two playgrounds for kids, and a big open field for any sort of sport. Lots of picnic areas with tables and trees to shade. Gorgeous views of the second narrows bridge, north shore, and ocean. So even on a hot sweltering day, this would be one place that would have a breeze that would make it one of the cooler parks around. The only downside is the horrible lack of parking :/.
A reasonably sized park right by the water. Only problem is, it is right by the port as well so the views arent that great. There is also minimal parking, a small lot that fits about 35-40 cars and about three blocks of street parking. Nice for a walk. Theres an outdoor pool as well. For dog owners, theres an off leash area. Probably great for BBQ and picnics
Nice clean Park with lots of green area and a playground. If you have children who love trains there is a lot of Port activity near by. Street parking and a little lot is available, but during busy sunny summer days it will fill up very quickly. Great place to unwind by yourself, with your dog and with family.
Stopped by here to kill some time waiting for an accident to clear on the bridge. Been back a few times to picnic and hang out. It is a fantastic park with views of the mountains. Not too far from town and big enough not to be easily crowded.
Great pool in the summer. 6 lap swimming lanes and a huge open area including one edge you can walk into the pool like a beach. On a hot summer day there is very limited parking. There is a also a lot of blackberry bushes around the area.

Bang on location, views and pool! :) PNE Playground, and Hastings Race Track nearby for more fun. And, part of the Trans Canada Trail which stretches 24,000 kilometres from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic oceans.
Love this park in the summer, its out of the way, never overly crowded, it has an outdoor swimming pool, concession, picnic tables and you can barbecue, playground, a field as well as a beautiful beach.
Its a super pretty park and has lots to offer including an outdoor pool, playground, off leash dog area, running trails, large grass fields, beaches, and an unbelievable view of the North Shore
Large outdoor pool, with snack bar. Entrance fee is economic. The park is large and popular with families for a BBQ or picnic. Beautiful view of the mountains and located next to the ocean.
Nice, quiet, spot for a picnic. There is a small public parking lot within walking distance to the park, and a few spots on the street for parking, but both fill up quickly on nice days.
Great park. Wide open spaces for walking, theres a public swimming pool, soccer field and a great view over to the North Shore. Also a kids playground and picnic tables.
Beautiful Park, right by the inlet there. Nice place for off-leash & swimming for the dogs. Currently undergoing an restoration project that will make it even nicer!
Amazing park for bbqs and family gatherings. There is a nice little beach, a great pool, tennis courts and cycling/walking paths. A favourite place to catch sunset.
Great views of the mountains, several beaches (cant swim - currents and working docks), big pool (almost as big as Kitsilano!), nice new play parks for kids.
Great little park with a nice outdoor pool. Also great if youre allergic to dogs as they are not permitted on the beach so it is uncontaminated.
Great park to bring your dog, massive off leash area. The pool is also amazing in the summer with beautiful views of the Northshore mountains.
Its actually an awesome area that I jog through regularly and I dont want it to get too busy so I gave one star yet it really deserves 5.
Fantastic dog park. most dogs here are off leash, and they are installing big corrals for dogs that might not do so well off leash.
New Brighton Park is a difficult park to get to, but has incredible views of the north shore mountains. - A Richard Trus review
Great park! Really lovely pool that isnt too busy on weekdays. Has a "beach style" entry for the children which is terrific.
You get a beautiful view of the south shore mountains and so close to Vancouver .. great spot for a quick getaway ..
Great place to take your dog off leash. Although its best to follow the signs as the penalty fee can be high.
The best outdoor pool in the lower mainland. The view of the north shore mountains is just spectacular!
Lovely setting on the waterfront, combining the industrial and natural elements that define Vancouver.
Located off wall street near the PNE. Kind of hidden away. Usually easy parking except during summer.
Best view of the Lions in Vancouver. A great place for a barbecue or to sit and read a book.
Connected to transcanada trail, quiet but great views. Spacious. Has pool and good for dogs
This park is the best in Vancouver, with the cleanest water......shhhhhhh. Hidden gem !!
Nice view of the mountains, hard to get to though, not recommended for tourists
Like to walk my dog there but dont see why dogs cant be on the small beach...
Park still under renovation as of Jan 2017. Half of the park is inaccessible.
Nice place for picnic with family. Beautiful view of the mountains and ocean
Among the most beautiful views from any park - ships, mountains and water.
Access is tricky, but once there it is a great way to see the waterfront.
Beautiful view of the mountains and the public swimming pool is awesome!
Beautiful views of North shore, inlet, second narrow bridge and more.
We come here often with our dog. Beautify scenery through day&night.
Very popular picnic spot, Dog Park, lots of ships/harbour activities
Great outdoor swimming pool. Entry is a little expensive.
Nice walking paths, never really busy, and nice salt air.
Parking sucks... but thats expected given the location.
It is a great place to have a picnic or take your dog
A little hidden gem of a park with beautiful views.
A great alternative to the busy Vancouver beaches!
Great urban park along the industrial waterfront.
Nice place to walk a dog. Play tennis, swim.
Just so so... but good enough for a rest...
Toxic water dont let your dogs swim here.
