I traveled from Illinois to visit my best friend in Atlanta and we both wanted to play 18 holes at the Trophy Club - wow what an experience. I know that I will make that trip again so we can play again - thats my vote! The course is beautiful and the staff was very friendly every time we had an interaction - they were very helpful with setting up our tee time and then upon arival they were friendly and helpful with our questions since it was our fist visit to the course. The course is in perfect condition, the fairways are demanding, the greens are challenging but not so difficult that they werent fun, and as the course winds throughout the neighborhood, the game gets interesting with a different layout on every hole and we really saw some very fine homes as well. Though we didnt realize how busy the course was during our round - the staff did let us know that during the turn from 9 to 10 that if we were wanting food or drinks to just call the clubhouse and they would deliver those items to us. My friend and I had a great time - lots of discussion afterwards and I know that we will play again and if your are looking for an interesting course - check out the Trophy Club - Trust me, you will not be dissappointed, I am sure of that. Have a great outing. Oh one last thing - I came in just 4 strokes over par for the first time playing that course - I feel great. Have a nice day...

Tried to play on Saturday after 4pm. Absolutely a nightmare! Overbooking at its finest! Finished 4 holes in a hour and 45 minutes. Clubhouse gave credit back for remaining holes. No lie, there was four groups on #8. Two on tee box, one in fairway, and one on green. All foursomes! Course was beat up! Worst Ive seen it. I was wrong when I booked the round for me and buddy when Darius answered the phone. I seen previous reviews and they mention how unpolite this is guy is and I had a personal run in with him a couple of years ago. I dont understand why the course management would tolerate that type of behavior. Zero phone etiquette, short with you, and couldnt care less if you booked a round. After yesterday Im pretty sure I wont play there again because of the customer service. Ill mark these guys off like I did Collins hill. Its sad because its been my course of choice for over ten years.

Beautiful course, well maintained. Our group combined played around 50 rounds last year and had great experiences. However we will not be back until changes are made with the staff. Darius should not be in a position to work with people. It;s not what you say its how you say it. Very combative and condescending to customers. Field staff said he has driven off lots of customers and it is easy to understand why. Jason and I collided in our carts at one of those mirrored intersections. He sat there with a scowl on his face and said nothing until I asked if he was alright, then he replied yes, you? What has happened to this place? It was such a great place but most everyone seems to have a chip on their shoulder. Really hope they get it together.

Tee boxes are mostly dirt. Most fairways are in good shape, a few have big areas of dirt patches. Greens are fast and in pretty good shape. Avoid Saturday play. This course is overbooked on Saturday. I have tried to play on 6 different Saturdays. Each 18 is a 5-6 hour round. Im canceling my membership and going somewhere else. Bunkers need lots of work. Adding sand would be a big improvement. I was in a greenside bunker and my club bounced of the hardpan and the blade caught the ball. over the green and into the woods my ball went. Im very good out of bunkers that have the proper sand in them. Impossible with a thin layer of sand disguising the hardpan. Trophy club needs to invest in a bunker tiller. They never till the bunkers.

Ive been living in Orlando since I was a small child.....and started golfing at an early age. Its safe to say there are a few rounds under my belt......but to play one at Trophy Club of Apalachee was a blessing. From tee (or in some cases...."tree") to green....lol....I was awe struck by the sheer beauty and conditions of the lay out. Without any holes running immediately parallel to one another.....I was enjoying every nook and cranny of the challenging elevation changes. The greens were meticulous. A must stop for any one with clubs in tow......either visiting the area.....or just passing thru.....you wont regret it.

Enjoyed a round yesterday (5/14/2016) with one of my golf buddies. The weather was great and the course was in good condition. My only complaints were that there was no cart service and the pace of play was slow. My group had to wait several minutes to tee off on several holes due to more than 1 group already playing the same hole when we arrived at the tee. On the positive side the staff was friendly and helpful and we were able to enjoy a great brat and beer after we finished the round. Overall this is a good course for the money and I recommend it to others.

Played on 7/12/2013. Teed off at 8am. Great course conditions from lots of rain. Pace of play was good (3hrs 55min). I have played this course many times because the greens fees are reasonable and the course is always in good shape. My only complaints are that the tee boxes on some of the holes are uneven. Who wants to start out with a tough lie? There is also one green (#8) that is always in bad shape and pin placement on #5 is impossible. Will be back to play again soon.

Played Saturday May 14th the front nine greens were in very poor shape many dead spots. Pace of play was over 5 hours. The course is a good traditional layout but the bad greens and incredible slow play lends itself to not keeping this course on my to play list. There are plenty of public courses in the area for the same cost that are in much better condition.

This course is okay.. the course gives me a slight feeling of anxiety for some reason. Maybe because of so many narrow fairways and blind shots. Had guys hit into our group 3 times because they just couldnt see us. The ambassadors rush and breathe down everybodys back...not just our group. Frustrating to play here.

Course is decent for the money. I have been a players club member for two years so I got my moneys worth, but the tee boxes are ALWAYS stacked on the weekends. Never get a round in in less than 5-5.5 hours because you wait at every tee box. Greens are usually decent but fairways/rough are always questionable.

Golf course has improved since April 2015. New Champion Bermuda greens are better than old Bent grass. Very slow improvement on tee boxes but nice to see some of the tee boxes re-done. Some fairways and No.8 green needs work... Sand bunkers need more sand... hope to see improvements.. keep it up..

The course is in great shape this time of year. Greens are rolling well. Fairways are good. Couldnt of asked for a better pace of play during a weekday round. Course and practice facilities are overall in good shape. Staff is always friendly and willing to help.
