A gem on the fringe of the city. Pros: 18 gorgeous holes. Mostly wide fairways, a lengthy course, and very challenging. The back nine has a great look to it, several ponds, and beyond the rough lies tall marsh grasses. Memorable tee shots - the 4th is a downhill straightaway par 4, the 5th is a par 3 over water, and the 18th is a great finishing hole. Cons: Quite soggy after a rain (the bunkers change to water hazards!). Nothing else comes to mind. At the moment, my favorite course.

I do a lot of business here with 3 different organizations but I think I will be now taking our events elsewhere. I wish I was lying when I tell you that I watched the female asian bartender shoot up in the womens bathroom and then proceed to "bar tend" the rest of the evening. She sat on the bar with 2 other employees and had to be flagged down for any service. just sad.

This is my favorite course in newbedford not only because I live here but because I played for the newbedford highschool team and I am very proud I represented the whalers , over time I crated memories in which wont be ever forgotten and still every winter I miss it alot cant wait for the summer to come around. ⛳ ( Golf in the blood)

Ive always loved the challenge at the whale. Its a great course. But there is an employee there that has been there for 19 years, has red, and was one the most unprofessional disrespectful miserable see you next Tuesday.. I will never go back there due to this. She does not deserve to have a job there.

Went to see what the course had to offer was impressed, I now go weekly and always feel welcomed with the pro shop girls and the new bartender they have very welcoming, professional, respectful, and always has a smile on her face unlike some bartenders who work there

Good course for muni. Fairways were OK and the rough was dense. Greens were perfect. Par 4s are fairly open with the greens as the defense. The par 3 are great! The par 5s are sneaky hard with small greens. Enjoyed it.

Great price for what it is. Very long course. Wide open, not much trouble to get in.
