We had extra sea urchins left over from a class - all alive and well. Unfortunately, we do not have the materials/equipment to maintain them. I called the store (twice!) to ask if they would take in the sea urchins... the person on the phone had a horrible attitude, was not very responsive, and just hung up on me immediately both times. I got much better service from the Tropical Lagoon Aquarium (in Silver Spring), the rep was much friendlier and happier to take them in.

The store does not give off a great impression walking in since it seemed a bit unorganized and dirty. maybe I went on an off day? Either way, they had a good selection of freshwater fish that all seemed healthy enough. Also a small and poorly maintained saltwater area. They should either put some more cleaning effort there or gut it all together. Behind the register they have a bunch of aquarium supplies. Your typical chain selection for the most part. Worth a look.

Its a small shop specializing in aquatic foods and tank chemicals. The owners are very kind/personable and will order specimens upon request. The day to day fish selection is unpredictable besides feeder goldfish and the tank of redbelly piranhas. its also not abnormal to spot a rare freshwater specimen. But overall Ive never seen a larger selection of fish foods and chemicals at any other live fish store in md.

Brought my snake here! A few times a month I travel a great distance to come here. I choice this pet store over others because their prices are very affordable (unlike others pet stores) I love the workers-they are very customer friendly, always willing to help, and if they dont have particular product just ask and they will order it for you.

I wish I could place zero stars instead of 1 because this store is very nasty not to mention their prices its too damn high.. they have animals on the floor and their fish tanks looks like youre in a dirty fish market. I only go there for dog supplies when I have to have them at last minute only because they are closer than others...

Owner was very rude and disrepectful when I dared to bring back a fish that didnt live throuh the night.Its hard to listen to or repect any store policys when someone is yelling at you! I think the owners need cultural sensitivity training. If most of the tanks didnt look medicated I would not question who is a fault.

These fish are top quality, the store is very clean and the new owners were very accommodating to helping us find what we were looking for. The staff seemed knowledgeable and Im very content with the service we received. I would highly recommend this place for your next fish purchase!!

The care of the animals here, particularly the reptiles, is abhorrent. These people need to be reported for animal cruelty. They are completely ignorant to the needs of these animals, and therefore unable to educate potential buyers as to their needs. These poor animals are doomed.

It was great they said what I need to do with my pet really nice people and they test water for people that have fish tanks with fish and lots of knowledge and amazing animals with good prices

Place is dirty and unorganized. Tanks are dirty and fish look stressed. Fish in tanks that are way too small for their size. Buckets of dead fish sitting on the floor. This place is gross.

All fished from here died in a couple of days. Petco in Columbia Heights much better fish.
