The park is beautiful. My family and friends have attended several times. The new additions are a total plus. Unfortunately my last visit was a disappointment. During the gathering with four other parents and their children a woman working for the park approached our group in a negative manner. She asked "Who are you? Where are you from?" We had been gathered for a little over an hour prior to her approach. She proceeded to tell me about a permit being required for gatherings of more than 12. The manner in which she approached us was rude. She proceeded to discuss limited space in the park and gatherings being ok for only certain purposes. So it was clear that our group of parents and children did not fit her personal park guests criteria. We were not occupying a pavilion and should not have been approached and questioned about occupying space in a public park. Since when is it a problem for parents and their children to gather at a city/county park? She made several inappropriate assumptions. There are more respectful ways to implement a park policy. So the park is beautiful, but staff training on respecting all visiting community members is clearly needed!

Despite what the prior reviews have stated, the practice of off leash dogs and poop everywhere is not accurate. Our family goes here to walk our dogs and to run/bike and I have never had an issue with either scenario. The layout is great-you can park on one side of the lake and be a stones throw from the spillway with access to fishing or park near the metro station and take the elevated wooden bridge path through the covered canopy. There is a plethora of wildlife ranging from groundhogs to deer, I even spotted a turtle this afternoon. I would feel safe in recommending this area for joggers, as there are cameras throughout the park and trail system.

Beautiful, sprawling park. Great place to take your family or walk your dog. Theres a nice playground with an outdoor picnic area closeby. Could be the perfect place to throw a birthday for a kid. Theres some long trails and idyllic scenery as well. An all around awesome park. Open everyday, sundown to sunset, completely free.

Beautiful Park. Staff In Need of Some Additional Interpersonal Skills Training. The park is stunning. I would suggest that supervisors train their staff (or supervisors attend their own training) around connecting interpersonal relations. I had an off-putting encounter with a ranger based largely on erroneous assumptions.

I spent 1 hr and 1/2 trying to find the dog park only to find it locked, private, and costly. On my way to the dog park, I was hunted by a ranger and threatened with a citation to put a leash on my dog. Better signed and ranger interpersonal training is necessary in order to make this a more welcoming space.

Beautiful nature center in downtown Baltimore. A cozy wilderness setting within the city. Beautiful trails, well maintained, nice parks and playgrounds. Large dog park as well. Nature center has a variety of activities for kids and adults. Rangers have all been so friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable.

Theres a tiny cave on the side of the lake thats at the end of the old parking street. Also, canoeing is fun here, though the fish jumping out of the water at me were a little scary. Theres serpentine in the northern part and supposedly copper in the middle/southwestern part, but Ive never seen the latter.

Since Baltimore County started leasing this property from the city theyve put a lot of money into it. New nature center, playground, canoeing/kayaking, pavilions, dog park with water access, and hike/bike trails. There are many opportunities to experience Maryland wildlife in this park.

Free wifi. Very modern park, well kept. Fountain is great, walk around the park is good exercise with or without a dog. Vendors and food there is a nice option and paddle boats a good attraction if you like. Parking can be found with patience on a busy day.

Beautiful park and lake. The new Nature Center is nicely done. First off, it has AC which is great on a hot day, and clean bathrooms. Inside the center there are various fish tanks, turtles, a few small snakes, a coloring table, and the staff was friendly.

The dog park might be nice, but when I sent them my annual check for membership, they sent me the code and dogs tags right away - then held my check for SIX months before magically depositing it out of nowhere... why would they hold a check for so long!

Just had a graduation party under the Pavillion. My guests were so pleased with the location. It was a great experience and the Park Rangers were extremely helpful. I will return, hopefully indoor restroom facility will be completed soon.!

It has extensive and well-maintained trails for hiking and biking, as well as excellent spots for fishing, canoeing and picnicking. Ive had some interactions with the rangers there, who were quite knowledgeable about the wildlife in the park.

This is a great park for children, teens and adults. Bring the dogs (please clean after them). You can fish, ride bikes, jog as well as take nature hikes. If l sound like a kid in a candy store, its because I realize this park is a gem.

Clean, well maintained, and educational. Has multiple picnic pavilions and play area. BBQ grills are available. Large dog park is enclosed so the dogs can run around and not get away from the owner.

This park is great for family hikes and other activities that are held here. There is a dog park, which Ive never used, but looks cool. The fishing here is pretty good, also.

Very peaceful and quiet. Suitable for all ages. It could be one of my favorite spots to frequent if I were to stay in Baltimore.

Great area, but shame political "correctness" forced a change in the name from Robert E. Lee Park. Been visiting since 1972.

Beware!...you have to be a member to get into the off leash dog park area... after we drove all the way to get there!

Just wish the parking was a bit closer. Its kind of a hike to get to pavilions from parking. Long walks with hills.
