Absolute rudest management I have ever encountered along with sketchy bartenders. I came here the other night with some friends and decided to pick up the tab for everyone. I gave the bartender my card, she swiped it, and gave it back to me without giving me a receipt or anything to sign. I thought it was weird so I asked if I was supposed to get a receipt and she just shook her head no. I asked how much it was and she said $64. My friend and I verbally took note of this because we were both suspicious, but then we shrugged it off and carried on. The next morning I saw on my statement a charge for $104, so I looked up the number of the bar and called the only number they list which turned out to be the number to their sales manager. As I start explaining what happened he rudely cuts me off to condescendingly inform me that this is the sales number and hes with a client and I need to contact another number. As I tried to head back to my desk to grab a pen he told me he was with a client about 5 more times and hung up (maybe dont answer the phone if youre with a client OR list another number online). After finally getting in touch with someone (who was actually helpful) he tells me there is a signature on my receipt which I knew wasnt mine so I said I would stop by to take a look at it. I didnt get to go until the next day when the second guy wasnt there but a 3rd man (I believe his name was Chip) had the receipt waiting for me and when I got there I saw a completely random signature on the bill and 4 $10 charges for "premium charges" or something (which would account for the mysterious $40 on the bill). As I started talking to the guy about what happened I was once again rudely interrupted to be told "Let me just cut you off there, Im not the guy you spoke to yesterday, so.." --because how crazy it is of me to think he might be concerned with the fact one of his bartenders is adding charges and signing receipts for his customers? This conversation escalated for a minute or two and when I asked what his problem was I was told "people like you with thin skin", and then received the most sarcastic and rude "you have a GREAT day" as I left. I think I was in his office for a total of 5 minutes. I am honestly still just extremely taken back by how anyone in his position could be so unnecessarily rude and apathetic to the fact his employees are committing credit card fraud. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this venue.

Absolutely pathetic excuse for customer service. You dont expect much from a bar other than good drinks, great music and the right check.. so the bartender negelected to provide a receipt of the bill.. after being asked twice, fine well continue with our night. Then the next day our bank account was charged an additional $40. We contacted the bar and apparently only the sales number is available online and your call is too much of an inconvicen for them. Sales did provide us with a different number and that employee told us to come in and look at the receipt. When my roommate did, the signature was clearly not hers and Chip, the guy assisting her, could care less. Word of advice, even when the bartender tells you not to worry- worry, because they like to close checks with additional charges.

Was on a business trip with a professional organization. Made a charge for $10 and was treated like I was a criminal. Not only did they require my drivers license but they actually wrote it down on the bill. Dont know about anyone else but with rampant identity theft this was over the top for me. Spoke to the Manager & he confirmed that they keep the information in case of charge backs. Nice place but I will go somewhere else where Im treated like an honest customer. PS - Has same situation as others with regards to water. Luckily I had 2 drink tickets or water is $7 + the EXPECTED TIP. "The contract our group signed with them indicated that they were REQUIRED to serve us free water, but when I asked, they charged for a bottle of voss."

I went to a corporate holiday event here last year, and I was incredibly happy with Generations Hall as our location. The room we used was decorated to the nines and we danced and had fun all night long. This place is spacious and gorgeous inside, has a great Jazzy New Orleans flair, and gives top-notch service with awesome catering. I highly recommend it as a locale for any work-function get-together. Loved it!

Attended the venue for a wedding + reception and had a great time. First time at the venue but would definitely look into booking the venue for an event in the future. Bartenders were courteous and overall staff was a pleasure. The DJ was playing the jams and Id like to see the place at one of these nightclub events but Im a bit a too old.

Generations Hall has been open for as long as I can remember. Its well known and always the go-to for events. Ive been there for private parties, wedding receptions, music events, and more. This venue is versatile and the staff is amazing. I highly recommend booking any event at this venue as well as attending any event booked here!

Such a great venue for parties. Generations Hall is truly a one-of-a-kind establishment for all types of events. The interior is fresh and original and there is plenty of room for dancing! Generations Hall encapsulates the festive spirit of New Orleans.

Was here for a private party, drinks were extremely expensive and the way the place is broken up into the various rooms doesnt make sense. Bar space was a plenty but with very limited staffing. There are better places for private parties.
