Played the course today, has been a few months since I last played it and was hoping to see something in the way of improvement with course conditions. There have been none. The staff was professionally polite, the club house is nice. The course layout is my favorite in town. Greens have been in poor condition for a long time now and I am convinced that the owners have given up on this course or are broke and cannot afford to make the needed repairs. No water jugs on course, no ball washers, and the bathroom on the Cypress nine is out of order (it was out of order a couple months ago also). Pity it is in such a state, would love to see someone get in back in playing shape.

I gave it one star because it would not allow to give zero. Greens were AWFUL, fairways, tee boxes and traps were no better. Obviously they do nothing in the way of maintenance except mow occasionally. There were very few yardage markers, no ball washers, no water jugs and even the flags and flagsticks were terrible. I would prefer to contend with the windmill at the local putt putt over this track. Sad thing is, its a great layout and just a few years ago was in great shape. Not trying to be mean, just wish someone had warned us about the course and the swarms of gnats that attack you the moment you leave the clubhouse.

Ive golfed at this place for years, only because its right down the street. It use to be a great course, but lately it has not been maintained very well. horrible and inconsistent greens, very poor sand traps, if you could call them that. There are no yardage markers either. A lot of their employees have been very rude and dry. Example, I had on nice jeans, and a polo. I guess he was the manger or something said I had to have khakis which is fine, but he was extremely rude about it. With that said, I dont believe it is a khaki only course. They fix the course up, Ill be glad to only wear khakis for you guys.

Clubhouse guy lied. Had left a key in the cart and when I called to ask about it he said they had found it and would be open until 730. I walk up at 615 to find everything is closed. When I find a cart guy to ask he said they left around 545. He attempted to get in the back but it was locked as well. When he called the boss he said that I would have to come back tomorrow. I will NOT come back to old oaks ever again. Greens are also in TERRIBLE SHAPE.

We have been to 10 local courses between Monroe and Shreveport over the last 2 months and they were rock stars compared to this place. Weeds, crabgrass, holes in the greens. Grass was so high you couldnt fine your ball in the middle of the fairway. I really want a full refund. To tell the truth its worse than no stars! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY UNTIL THIS COURSE IS REPAIRED WHICH WILL TAKE 6 FIGURES IF NOT 7 FIGURES.

Played this course twice in the last year and extremely disappointed both times. It is very poorly maintained which is sad because the layout and area are beautiful. If I lived in this nice community, I would be furious with the poor management of this course.

Giving 3 stars because of the layout, nice fairways. Reason it isnt 5 stars is because sand traps need a lot of sand, greens need attention, no ball washers on course, no drink person (played on a saturday).

This is one of our favorite places to play in the local area. Sand traps are in very bad shape and some of the tee boxes could use work, but it is good enough for the price and membership is not required.

TERRIBLE course. It should be nice, but they dont take care of it. Greens are horrible. Tried to email 3 different people who work there about it - no response. Will be sticking with Querbes for sure.

Great layout nice people but thats about it, terrible shape. Played there 5/1/17 WORST GREENS , once you get on them you might as well pick up, no way to make a putt unless you get lucky ,

27 holes of excellence.... loved this course and pricing is very reasonable... bent grass fairways and soft greens that allow you to shoot for the flag. country club quality.

A great layout. Fairways hard and fast. Bermuda rough tall enough to give you problems. Greens good although a little slow. A great deal.
