My feelings about the Kentucky Centers main stage, Whitney Hall, can be summed up in four words: great shows, terrible floorplan. Orchestra seating in Whitney is cramped and lacks adequate rake, reasonable offset, and any internal aisles. If youre seated center-center, at best youre in for a long hike over everyone who arrives before you and probably also leg cramps (and I say this as someone who is 58" and 150 pounds); at worst, in an actual emergency, youre basically screwed. This is a real shame, because both the Louisville Ballet and the Louisville Symphony Orchestra play the Whitney often, and theyve both made huge strides. The black-box style Bomhard Theater, on the other hand, is pretty comfortable, with a good rake and reasonable leg room.

I have already written one review and I gave it a pretty good rating. However, I did forget to mention one thing; the red wine! Im not sure what was going on with the red wine but I ordered two glasses two different times; each was from a different bottle and both tasted stale. Not sure where they are keeping their wine or how long they have had it, but it was to say the least disgusting. They really have to do better. Youve got some wine drinkers out there that know their wine...and that was definitely gross.

I frequent the Kentucky Center quite regularly. The only thing that prevents me from giving a 5-star review is that on one occasion I was stopped multiple times and sent back to have my ticket scanned because an attendant didnt believe that I had a seat in a premium section. I offer the advice that the supervisors of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts should perhaps spend more time screening their employees than patrons. Nevertheless, this is a fabulous place to visit!

Great venue. Have enjoyed many shows from multiple locations within the main hall. Have also been in the two smaller theaters and enjoyed the shows there too. It makes it interesting when you have a show at one of the small theaters and a major show is in the main hall. It would be nice if there was an aisle near the center on the orchestra floor as it can be difficult to get in and out of you are near the center. Other than that they histgreat shows and have great sound.

I am glad louisville has the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, but they nickel and dime you with ticketing. Two $12 tickets ended up costing $40.50 after multiple fees. The website says a "fee per order", but it ends up being per ticket. So what was a cheap ticket jumps up more than 50%. I wish they were more honest on their website sales. But still enjoyed the event and hope they keep doing more. Clean up their online act.

Another wonderful place to see live music and events but its newer then the historic brown theater and across theatre of Louisville. I used to shoot some live events here like Eric Church, Disney on Ice, even Taylor Swift! They have wonderful shows and its really good for the city too! Most bigger bands are gonna be drawn to the center so make sure you go as often as you can to see bigger artists. The prices are fair too.

Great facility. Very nice venue for many different types of shows. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Sub level parking facilities are good and well laid out but it is VERY helpful to drive though (the exit is on the opposite site of the building and exit out to 4th street) and try to park as close as possible to the exit. I have made the mistake of parking in the middle and it adds quite a bit of time to your exit.

Customer Service is terrible. Due to uncontrolable circumstances, they refused to refund my money. Working in customer service, there is ALWAYS something you can do for the customer and they refuse to do it. Coming all the way from Nashvile, TN and they would not refund my $100 or even consider it. I wouldnt dare spend money in their establishment if they prefer to be selfish instead of have a good business reputation.

Ive seen a few different shows here and the different theaters are all pretty good venues. Theres no really terrible sight lines and even the upper deck is nice but a little steep. I wish they had a better ticket distribution system so tickets at the front of the house would always be used up. Its much cheaper than larger cities and I wish there was more metered parking around the center.

Great venue to see a show. The seats could use a little more shoulder room and a center isle. (It gets a bit irritating when the 8th person has to go to the restroom in the middle of the show and has to climb their way over half the row!) The Center boasts one of the friendliness and helpful staff of any performing arts facility in the region.

This venue was absolutely beautiful, and the seats that we had in the grand tier were excellent for the price that we paid. The special effects and overall production were amazing for this being broadway in Louisville. It had all of the feel of a major broadway production. We will definitely be seeing shows here in the future!

I attended a personal concert with Jake Shimabukuro. He is a ukulele master. After the concert not only did he meet eith his fans and sign autographs he went to the bar and meet with fans who brought their Ukes and jammed with them. Where else can you do this with your favorite artistic performers?

This is the place to go to hear the Louisville Orchestra, see the Louisville Ballet, hear the Kentucky Opera or great Broadway shows. Garage parking is located directly behind the Arts Center or in the Galt House parking garage. After 6 p.m. you can park on the streets at the meters for free!

I was here for the Vertical Three conference as part of the Free Will Baptist national convention, and no matter how many times I got lost or turned around, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Main hall was very nice and up to date, with comfy seats and great sound.

Drinks were actually reasonably priced! Saw Mamma Mia there and was 3rd row back, and sound was awesome. Even stayed cool in there despite being 99 degrees outside. Easy parking, restrooms managed to move quickly despite long lines at breaks. Great experience!

One of the finest venues in Louisville. The sight lines and sound are wonderful. Every show I have attended here has been a joy due to the acoustics and general professional vibe. The clientele are generally very respectful which makes for a great experience.

I saw The Book of Mormon on the 3rd, best expirience I have ever had with a theatre, employees were friendly, and the cast was phenomonal. Met some of the cast and would 100% be willing to make the trip from Ohio to see another show.

We were there delivering "Cabaret" to the theatre. Excellent theatre. Great staff. Loved the stage area. Nicely located downtown right across the street from restaurants..treated the drivers well.

The performing arts hub of the state. Here you can see amazing Broadway, Louisville Orchestra, Louisville Ballet, Louisville Opera, and Kentucky Center Presents shows in one of several theaters.

Saw Brahms Symphony No. 1 there and Teddy Abrams was Phenomenal in the conductor role. Very friendly staff and the morning show had free Heine Brothers coffee which was a pleasant surprise
