I golf Coldwater quite often, I believe that it is the best course in town. Coldwater is a links style course so it is suppose to be without trees. The awesome bent grass tees, fairways, greens and the Kentucky Blue Grass rough is always well watered. The managers and owner are always more than accommodating, and it is a pleasant place to golf. This course is taken care off excellently by the pros, and the managers are always doing something to make it that much nicer.

Its a gold court for wealthy middle aged patrons... except its in Ames... Haha who in their right mind would come to golf in a college town? Idk Im not a wealthy middle aged guy so it beats me. Give me another 20 years and Ill have the experience to write a different review.

Being an experienced decent golfer, Cold water is in my opinion a great golf course. It plays very fair. Rewards good shots. Some room for error on poor shots but you will get punished for bad shots. Course is also very good looking with a links style.

Great golf course! Greens and fairways were in perfect condition even after some heavy rain. There are some great golf holes and not one of them is the same as another. Well be back!

Very nice place. Fairways lots of rough spots but overal great place. If not use to links wait to your games better can be challenging
