classic championship course. 7400 yds plus from back tees with rating and slope about 74.9 and 144. maybe slightly lower since some of the trees and traps have been removed. if you played there in the past, you may be pleased to learn they have thinned the trees along hole 11 (double dogleg par 5) so you can actually hit a driver off the tee. i used to use a 5 iron! the fairway is still just a narrow, so it is not a pushover by any means. the condition of the course has been improving over the years as tree removal has greatly helped wind and sun. no worry, it is not wide open. still, this is a municipal golf course with a limited budget. but, where else can you play a course like this for as low as $25 with a cart?

Nice course for a public park district course. Staff was very friendly and the rate was great and included lunch. Course was in good shape for being late summer and was having the fairways redone in new zoysia grass. Greens were challenging but had consistant speed. Some challenging hole for the good golfer but forgiving enough for everyone. I will go back next time.

I remember this course always being in good shape, and a true challenge for golfers of all skill levels. I would love to go back and play it again... I hit the ball a bit further than I did in high school. But I remember high school golf tournaments here and always enjoyed the layout.

Its a very nice open course the greens were changed out a few years ago and good driving range and short game areas for practice. Pro shop easy to work with and they make a mean Hot Dog at the snack bar. Adult beverages sodas n energy drinks.

COURSE HAS REALLY MADE A COME BACK. BEST FAIRWAYS THEY HAVE EVER HAD, GREENS ARE USUALLY FAST AND BUNKERS ARE WELL MAINTAINED. TRY IT AGAIN AND YOU WILL LIKE IT. VERY INTERESTING TO PLAY FOR ALL LEVELS, MULTIPLE TEE BOXES, CHOOSE WISELY.

Good lay out the greens where great but thats all the fair ways where terrible I would rather hit from the rough dont recommend spend ur money some where else good luck if u play here u wont have a good experience

All around solid course for beginner or anyone looking for a challenge. New zoysia fairways are coming in nicely. Improvements to the back nine look great.
