This is a magnificent Rockford gem! "If only the walls could talk!" The history here goes on and on. From the incredible seating, the fabulous detail of the decor, the mirrored lobby, the elevator-operated orchestra pit, the twinkling-stars ceiling, to the incredible variety of live shows and movies this venue has hosted... it is worth coming back again and again. Watch for opportunities to take a tour of the building, or see a current show! The current management has the intricate artwork and glasswork as clean and sparkling as the current generation has ever seen it!

Very nice setting. It is a very clean arena and the seats are comfortable. The only issue I had was leaving after the show. I dont know if they didnt have enough people to assist with exiting the parking area but we sat for approximately 30 minutes before we could pull out of our parking space. Then it was another 15 minutes to exit the structure from the 4th level. I dont know what the issue was but when we did finally get moving, there were 2 officers assisting with traffic.

This theater made my dreams come true. Saw Weird Al in concert and had the best seats ever. He came down my aisle at the beginning of the show, right past me. Then during his "Wanna b ur luvr" song he was up and down the aisles again. Again he came down the middle aisle where I was and out of every person sitting in the outer seats of that aisle he picked ME. OMG I melted. I love you, Coronado!!! I LOVE YOU TOO, WEIRD AL!

This is a beautifully restored old theatre with quite a history in Rockford. Although the performances that come through here these days are limited, perhaps due to the size of the venue, there have been some exciting acts booked here in the past few years. The Rockford Symphony Orchestra performs here regularly during the season and a visit always adds charm and elegance to an evening out on the town.

Weve been to the coronado for several shows now.. Its easy enough to get to and the shows were quite good however the seats are quite uncomfortable and spaced fairly close together.... If it came down to seeing a show here or the same show at the overture center in Madison we would make the extra drive and go to Madison.

The inside takes me back to when I was a child in the theater. I love the red velvet it makes me feel so glamorous. The chairs in the hallway look like they should be in a castle. I went here recently to the Laugh A "Thon and it was actually my first time there since I was in 8th grade. Brought back wonderful memories.

This beautiful piece of history has been authentically & wonderfully restored to its once ornate splendor. Its a must see if in the area. A very nice gentleman that works there will be more than happy to give you a tour. He has worked there a long time & knows all the history. I wish I could give more stars!

Not a bad seat in the house! Whether its one of my kids school performances, a musical, or a concert, its Always a great time! Just left Brit Floyd. Amazing. My first concert at age 7 - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, was here @ Coronado theater. Love this place!

Its a great historic location. It can often get very cold when they turn on the air-conditioning. And some of their events arent exactly appropriate for a historic Amphitheater. Definitely worth checking out if youre not familiar with Rockford

This place is awesome! Id go just to sit and look around at all the detail that went in to it. As far as performances go, there isnt a bad seat in the house. A much more intimate setting for music than youd get anywhere else.

Here for a graduation ceremony and noticed several lights are burned out creating a feeling of no pride taken in this icon in Rockford. Would suggest having your maintenance staff doing some pre-event evaluations.

All I can say is WOW, this place is original. Was even taken on a private tour of the managers quarters. Original furniture, and kitchen, was like stepping back into the 1920s. If you like history, its a must see.

The decor had been restored to all its original glory. A magnificent testimony to the opulent theaters of the turn of the 20th century. A hidden gem in Rockford and a great venue for symphony and rock.

Great place for a show. Saw straight no chaser perform here. We were on the upper level and still had a great view. The place is beautiful, clean, well maintained. They do have a bar in house as well.

Great old theater. Very ornate. The ushers made it easy to find your seat. The seating was very nice and comfortable. Parking was easy. I would definitely go to The Coranado again for an event.

When I was a kid ,my friends and I would take the bus downtown to see a movie. Now my wife and have seen plays ,concerts and comedians. Lots of history here and always an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful Theater. Not a bad seat in the house! Convenient parking right across the street. Officers for traffic control keep traffic moving, so very little waiting.
