Nice local woods with gravel pathways that meander around two small lakes. Part of the Lake County Forest Preserves. I often walk my dog here and there are about four miles of pathways. My only complaint, is that they removed the four or five garbage bins out of the pathway areas, so you now have to carry your waste back to the main entrance.* (Update 5/24/17: They have returned some waste bins around the main trail. Perhaps a warm season endeavor.) Outdoor restrooms available and ample parking. Its hardly ever crowded.

very scenic with tons of options for trails and different "difficulty levels" Every time I am here I see some type of wildlife up close and personal. Great place to spend an afternoon when the weather allows

Beautiful! Loved the deep wood trail and hills and bridges. Had no idea how beautiful it was back off Grass Lake Road. Very quiet. Dogs were exhausted at the end!

Very few people use this in the winter making it essentially a private forrest preserve for the few who do come out to enjoy it. Wonderful.
