My FAVORITE store in Chicago, I am a collector of vinyl toys so this place is great. It is almost like a drug to me , I have to stop myself from buying everything in the store that I want because I would be broke. They carry all make and model from Kid Robot to Loyal Subjects. Kirby is the owner and he is great, if there is something that you are looking for he knows where to get it or how to get it. He will personally email you if you have any questions. The store is great plus it has a gallery where they feature certain artist every month. They also have trading parties with the release of certain series for kid robot , so if yo need that one dunny to finish a series someone at the party might have it. It is hard for me to ride by this store and not stop in, it is a must see if you are into collecting things, it will start a habit that must be fed.

Ive ordered a lot from Rotofugi over the years and the owners are 100% professional. They ship right away (and always wrap your toys up in paper so opening your box is like Christmas morning). I have no idea what the June 19 reviewer is talking about, but he or she wouldnt even sign it, so take it with a HUGE block of salt. I know retail and you just sometimes get a customer with a bug up their butt and theres no pleasing them. Just look at the reviews from the other sites if you dont believe me...Rotofugi is one of the best retailers out there.

This place cant even follow through with their shipping. They advertise that they ship within 48 hours at the latest, and usually within 24 hours....but they dont. Then, when you call to complain, they try to inform you that they meant 24 business hours (whatever that means - first time hearing it for me). They will also take the money from your paypal account and then leave your order pending for days, and literally laugh in your face like the whole thing is a joke when you call customer support. Worst experience with a toy store ever.

My best friend and I went here for the first time for an art show. Located on the corner the entrance features clear shelves that surround you upon entering. Some are hand made, others limited edition. You walk past the toys and all the merchandise, fromo bags to plushies. At the back is the gallery. Pretty good space, light and when you go to an art opening night, you might run into the artists, I did. They also feature Belly so whenever you visit you rack up points for free things or experiences. Super fun!

I love this store. They rock, and theyre really sweet peeps. I dont get why someone would say its a rough neighborhood though. Its totally not. Its freakin Ukrainian Village. Theres a lot of old Ukrainian folks there. Ignore that. Its totally safe there. Go at night and visit for a gallery opening, to see something new. Ask if they have Milo the Cloud. Theyll know what you mean. You want one. I promise.

This space always curated great shows. Additionally, the designer tout shop had had a phenomenal selection of new vinyl for years running. They also have art periodicals and clothing. The gallery itself has a large selection of prints both on display and in flat folders. The curators, both in terms of toy product and art work, are well reputed as helping you get your brand off the ground.

I recently went to Rotofugi for a gallery opening and was blown away by all the designer vinyl toys! They have a wide sellection from Travis Lampes Tear Drips series to the more mainstream Dunnies. The staff was helpful and nice (they didnt judge me for coming back to the register again and again with more stuff in my arms to buy). Ill be coming to Rotofugi more often!

I thought I was really gonna like this place. People equated it to Toy Tokyo in NYC. But it is soooo expensive and they dont have the collectable toys I wanted. I like the variety in Vinyl figurines and the prices arent bad on those. But the prints they had were really high prices. I might as well just buy stuff online :(

Kirby and the gang are awesome...and their service is unparalleled. The store is the closest thing to "designer toy heaven" you can get. I had the pleasure of attending the Squadt Assembly this year and made some great friends. Best thing northwest of Disney World! Positive vibes all around the great folks at Rotofugi!

I would give this 5 stars, but the smell was horrid in this store. I can still smell it, and that was 4 days ago. If you are traveling from out of town, make sure to go during the day because it is in a kind of rough neighborhood. There is a decent comic book store nearby though.

What a cool place to check out! I dont know a lot about artful toys, but if I was into collecting, I would probably frequent this location. I treated the experience more as an art gallery, and I quite enjoyed myself. Colorful, relevant, and unique.

This place really does have all of those weird "man I want these but I cant afford them" figures. They also stock FIELD NOTES. I almost dont want to tell you that because they feel out of place, but any place that stocks them has to be cool, right?

Hands down one of my most favorite store in Chicago. The world of designer toys is fun and addicting once you discover it and this shop is the gateway for it in Chicago. The art gallery with shows is an extra bonus to check out when you visit.

Have been a fan of Rotofugi for ages. Nice to pop in during our trip to Chicago. I had such a great time and my daughters helped me fill a basket with must have cool/cute stuff. Not to mention seeing Chris Arnolds work in the gallery. Love!

Awesome vinyl/toy/figure shop. They have an incredible selection of Funko/Kid Robot and many other popular staples. Be sure to also look through the print bins... some real gems in there, along with the artist gallery. A must visit!

While designer toys are not really my thing, I have been here a couple times to check it out with a friend. The selection cant be beat if you are into this sort of thing, and the employees are helpful and passionate.

If you view toys as artwork, this is your place. It costs more than Target, but these are true originals and collectors items, like the Labbit. My daughter would be crushed if this store ever closed.
