Pine hills Golf Club is exactly what this economy needs. This course meets the needs of golfers of any age and skill level. and also will not burn a hole in your pocket. 25 bucks after 2:00 and you can play as much as you want. even cheaper if your a senior citizen. there are a few nevative reviews about the course from the past when the drought hit years back. that was a hard time for this course and it suffered. Especially since this course built with no irrigation/water system in the 1960s.(now has sprinkler heads around greens, tees, and most fairways) Recently pine hills has been extremely lucky with rain and has a great superintendant with a hard working grounds crew, also very helpfull and nice employes in the clubhouse. i believe as of today 10-9-12....this is the best pine hills has looked in over 20 years. greens are great, fairways are full and green, and this course has the best tee boxes for winter than any other course for miles. tees are overseeded with ryegrass every winter for a beautiful light green color. Almost forgot to mention they have the best hot dogs in the state of georgia. i could go on forever about this course, i was extremely upset with the negative reviews so i had to write a new up to date review for the courses sake. if you have never been to pine hills golf club in winder Ga. i would recomend taking a swing at it, and for others who had a negative expierence in the past i would recomend trying one more time and see how much the course has improved over the years.

This course is what it is and should not be thought of as anything more. Its a cheap, low maintenance course. Know that going in. Focus on what you can do, and youll be happy. I use it as a practice facility that lets me go hit the course and practice selected shots and distances. It has a nice variety of differing length holes including some challenging par threes. Yes, you will likely get some rolls on the greens that are not true. Yes, there will be some tee boxes that dont have adequate grass. Yes, there will be some bad lies in the fairway...just move your ball to the nearest grassy spot and hit away. Dont go to Pine Hills thinking you are going to play your buddies for juice boxes and have a fair competition. You dont get Augusta National quality for a $20 round of golf. Ive never had any issue with the staff. They have always been friendly and courteous. Ive always been able to play quickly and efficiently; often with a simple three hour 18 hole round. Set your expectations correctly, and Pine Hills is fine.

Cow pastures for $30 green fees. "Fairways" are hard mud with a small amount of grass sprinkled throughout. Half of the greens have sand patches all over. Most frustrating of all, I called in to set a tee time. I asked for a tee time that is sometime after 12:30 PM. The person I spoke with told me "just come on in and we will get you out." So my friend and I arrive and pay, and the starter harassed me for not having a tee time. He told me that the person I spoke with was the owner, so there are clearly some management issues. I will not return, and I would not recommend this "golf course" to anyone. There are many higher quality golf courses in the area that charge similar green fees. Collins Hills green fees are cheaper, and it is a much nicer course.

Very poor. I was in the area on vacation from out of state to see family on vacation. I didnt bring clubs expecting I could rent some that would be adequate enough for a non competitive round. They literally gave me broken clubs. Maybe my own fault for not shipping clubs down here but course was the worst I have ever played on as far as maintenance and greens. I dont care that its cheap, you couldnt pay me to golf there again. What a waste of time, energy and money. Please look for somewhere else to play if your reading this

Nice course for the money, plus you can bring your own cooler and drinks without the course warden getting all puffy like other courses. Friendly staff and great deals on gloves, balls, and hats. This is not a pro course like some people believe it should be. Its low slope with open and tight holes, greens are in good condition and fairways are changeling. If you come and play after the rain the yes, it sucks, but so does every other course Ive played.

Not much good to say about Pine Hills. The golf course has more dirt than grass on it, lots of weeds and inconsistent greens. The golf cart kept backfiring. There was no water or any other facilities on the course. Yardages on the course were questionable at best. And for $25, its not that great of a deal. There are plenty of playable courses in the area that charge just a bit more.

No grass except on the greens and then theyre a little too shaggy and putts very slow. Yardage tees are way off. No amenities whatsoever. Carts are gas operated. People are pretty nice though. I wouldnt mind playing here again for the adventure I suppose. Just dont come here expecting much if youve never been. It is cow pasture golf. If youre ok with that, then you wont mind.

Dont expect much for $30.00.Website is misleading as to the pictures since there are no holes that look like them.Horrible course conditions,Crabgrass tees and fairways and greens that bounce the ball to the hole.very unfortunate to have such a great layout and let it go to waste with lack of maintenance

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY OR ANYTHING ELSE HERE. THE OWNERS ARE OLD HAGS WITH BAD ATTITUDES AND ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. ITS CHEAP BUT STILL TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET. TRUST ME JYST DRIVE THE EXTRA 5 MILES AND DOES THE FEW EXTRA BUCKS AND PLAY CHIMNEYS.

Driving range closes everyday at 630om, hard to make it there right after work and its too late to play 9, so not good for those needing some after work practice. Greens were hard and were not well taken care of when we played in March
