Small taste of the woods in the big city. Loop trails are short but scenic, and offer a variety of connecting routes. Lots of people walking, jogging, and spending time on the benches and at the various points of interest. Bathrooms located by the parking lot and main trail head. There are multiple unofficial trail heads that connect to the neighboring apartment complexes to the East and South.

Hidden gem! Easy and short (1 mile or less maybe) trails in a peaceful wood, most seem to be on a loop. Bathrooms are well maintained. My only complaint would be maintenence of trails themselves could be a bit better; when we went a couple trails seem a bit unkempt and one of the little bridges railing was collapsed. We loved taking a walk amongst the fall leaves.

Incredibly beautiful trails through tall trees and along a stream. Great care is taken to keep the place as natural as possible - trails are dirt or mulch after the entrance walkway. It is a rule of the reserve that only passive recreation is allowed - NO running/jogging. Please be respectful.

Basically a big hole in the ground with tons of trees and snakes. Its beautiful, but a lot of days it can also be hot as a furnace with lots of insects. Good place to walk the dog when you want to tire that dog the hell out so it will leave you alone and let you YouTube in peace.

Quiet, but close to town of Sandy Springs. Usually not very crowded, but sometimes trails are neglected, i.e. fallen trees blocking trails for weeks at a time. Free entry to trails so its a great stop to take my pup when we need to stretch our legs when running errands in town.

Hidden gem is right; this place makes it easy to forget that youre right in the middle of town. The trees are thick enough that you cant hear any cars, the place is very friendly to dogs, overall a quite peaceful place, and its free to use.

Perfect when you want a walk in the woods without a long drive. The trails are well maintained and good distances for a walk with fairly small children.

Hidden gem in Atlanta but keep to the trails. We had an incident where we disturbed a yellow jacket nest while exploring and they chased us for a while

Short at roughly a mile for a full outer loop, but a nice quiet little outdoor area in the middle of a busy area.

Small but quiet escape from Roswell road. Not extensive hiking, but enough to get you going.
