My fiancé and I first met Shawn Moye in June of 2016 when we scheduled a meeting with him to discuss the possibility of rental the hall for our wedding reception. He was very polite and informative. Essentially, we wanted to know the estimations of the prices so that we could prepare for our wedding. Weeks went by and we corresponded with him via email pertaining to requesting an exact price. Finally, in October we received a response. He basically sent us a form discussing itemized pricing, to which we already went over back in June at our initial meeting. So we filled out the form and sent it back to him. We never received an email back confirming our prices. We were told that we should pay for half to hold the spot and date at least six months in advance. Our wedding date is set for June 8th 2017. Today is December 24th, 2016. Yesterday we went to speak to Mr. Moye to solidify our date and estimates, to which we never received via email nor phone call. At this meeting we were rushed out and told that our date was taken by a local law firm. He then proceeded to check his email after we told him we met in person twice and connected by email before. He admitted that he forgot to respond. Unprofessional. Heartbreaking. However, its a dog eat dog world.

The public can play this course, if you find a deal online. This is a classic A.W. Tillinghast layout in the Florida capital, which is amazing from a historical golf perspective. Ive played this a couple of times in the past few months and the conditions are great. The greens roll fast and true, and you are challenged on every shot to place the ball in the correct side of fairways, and on the right tiers of greens, or you will pay, dearly. Dont let the shorter length of this golf course fool you, as it will test even the best of golfers skills. Its visually deceptive with strategic location of trees and hazards, etc. Tillinghast was a master of making a golfer think on every shot, well beyond what club to hit. Anyone who appreciates anything about the history of the game of golf would be a fool not to play this course at least once.

Great private club. Most new members seem to be 25-35 yrs old, and the seasoned members are all good people - friendly and kind. Staff is wonderful. Its a relatively laid-back club that clearly has pivoted in the right direction to attract both "millennials" and "boomers"; plus families and all good folks who want to have fun and relax. The course is beautiful and demands reverence. Its unlike 99% of Florida golf courses in that the designers in the early 1900s prioritized player strategy over power. There has been a lot of time and money invested into the club and its course over the past two years, and its clear things are only going to get better.

Fabulous pool membership available throughout the summer. Service is sporadic. The administration needs to give the staff the support they need. ie computers not crash when totalling customers bills. Right now $280/month full membership with no minimum food and no initiation fee.

Great older course, right in the middle of town. Nice elevation changes and an interesting layout. Kept up very well, always beautiful out there. Greens are consistent although generally not considered fast.

Attended a banquet here. Banquet room is spacious and was well laid out. Nice large area if the middle doors are open. Full kitchen with staff. Nice space.
