Let me start off by saying there is nothing wrong with Palafox Wharf, it was just not what I wanted for my wedding. I made the mistake by signing a contract and giving a large deposit without seeing the venue in person. A few weeks later, my Mom and I went to see it and met with Sandy who was nice and effecient. Sadly, I decided it was not what I wanted. They had my deposit for only a few weeks and the wedding was ten (10) months out and NOT on a Fri or Sat. Palafox Wharf said they would return half it it was rebooked. I found out recently, that it was not rebooked and they will be keeping my entire deposit. I tried to have a conversation with Sandy regarding this but she kept me on speaker and stopped responding to any questions I had. How unprofessional and childish. I called back a few times to only get the answering machine. I understand policy but no business was lost or displaced and they did not lose money. I would hope they would do the right thing; would want to build good customer relations; enhance their reputation but instead I get silence. I only asked for half of the deposit back in good faith but instead they decide they have to keep almost a thousand dollars because they can. We all know weddings are expensive and are supossed to be a happy time in ones life but instead this Bride is left with a huge loss in her budget as well as a sour taste for the unprofessional and uncaring people at Palafox Wharf and cannot and will not recommend this venue.

We had such an amazing experience having our wedding reception at Palafox Wharf Waterfront!! From the moment we set foot on the grounds my husband and I were instantly obsessed with the venue! We loved the atmosphere, plus the fact that it is such a beautiful venue even when not "decorated" for an event! We knew we would rather spend a little more money on a lovely venue rather than spending more money on decorations -- plus with Palafox Wharf the cost of tables and chairs is included. Sandy was fabulous to work with, very professional, and though she does have some regulations regarding certain vendors she I did not have any conflicts with that and Sandy was very willing to work with us and answer any and all questions we had. She was great with offering suggestions and providing advice on what types of set ups, decor, etc worked the best in the venue previously. Our reception turned our wonderfully and we were absolutely satisfied with our experience with Palafox Wharf Waterfront -- our guests had plenty of places to park nearby, the bathrooms were amazing (really!), there was more than enough space for our approx 90 guests, and with our 3 pm reception start time in January we enjoyed watching the atmosphere seamlessly transition from the afternoon to evening as still be equally as charming of a space, just to name a few details. We would certainly recommend Palafox Wharf and Sandy to anyone!!

We recently held our daughters wedding and reception at the Palafox Wharf Waterfront Reception Venue and the experience was fabulous! Our daughter Maria wanted her special day to be held at a venue that had charm and was not your "cookie cutter" type of venue. We found that at the Palafox. From the minute we walked in the door, saw the building and surroundings and began talking to Sandy we knew that it was perfect for us. From the beautiful waterfront views, the deck, the sweeping green lawn and the old world charming building it was just beautiful. There are so many wonderful features for pictures and fun and we utilized them all for our big event and the venue easily accomodated our 175 guests without feeling crowded. Sandy McDavid was so helpful and attentive and she worked very professionally and collaboratively with our planner, photographer and the rest of our team. We feel we made a new friend and she will forever be one of many great memories of Maria and Traviss wedding day. If you are looking for a beautiful, historical and charming venue for your event the Palafox Wharf Waterfront Reception Venue is the place. We highly recommend it!

First of all the review below I am not sure how the person ended allowing them to keep half of 1000 dollars, as the wedding venue isnt quite that expensive overall. Never the less my event at the Palafox Wharf was Awesome. Sandy was more than accommodating with recommendations of vendors, she worked with my busy schedule as I work a 8-5 job and was from out of town. She sat up Saturday and Sunday appointments. I was allowed to see the venue multiple times, and she devised a table chart and layout. She returned all of my phone calls in a timely manner without speaker phone of course. Honestly you will not get a lot of places in Pensacola that already have tables and chairs and set them up for you as an all inclusive cost of renting the venue. The eve of my wedding I began to see the decorations taking place with them hanging my paper lanterns. I was just in awe of how beautiful everything looked. We also sailed away in a sail boat, again totally AWESOME! This venue accommodated my 100 guests with ease. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who likes old whirl style with a side of class. Not to mention the guest bathroom facilities are awesome!

We knew that reception venues were booking up fast for the summer weekends, so we chose the Palafox Wharf sight-unseen. We couldnt have been more pleased with our choice! The location was beautiful -- such a lovely building, a wonderful lawn, and fantastic dock that our guests all thoroughly enjoyed. The historic building itself has so much character that any decorations that might be needed are minimal. Planning a wedding from out of state is already a stressful process, and it can be even more of one when the bride and groom havent laid eyes on the venue; however, Sandy McDavid at Palafox Wharf was a dream to work with. She was always prompt in answering my questions and was extremely cooperative and flexible. We were told by so very many guests that the wedding and reception were by far the best they had ever attended, and I attribute that in no small part to Sandy and the Palafox Wharf team. My daughter and son-in-law chose this venue for the intimacy it offered. On the 2nd of September I walked my daughter down the isle at the incredible outdoor grassy area adjacent to this facility. The lawn was immaculate. The reception was simply wonderful. The DJ (suggested by the owners) was a consumate professional making everything flow so smoothly. The view from the outside decking and dock was commented on by everyone. It was in a single word, awesome. I found the venue to be most reasonably priced, it provided for a most intimate experience, and the staff and the vast amounts of information they provided made what seemed an insurmountable challenge manageable. The owners provided a most personable experience (becoming like family in "being a part" of the overall experience). In a lifetime of good memories, the venue and staff made this day and its preparation "easy". God Bless them for it.....
