If I could give 10 Stars to this place, I would. First of all, I would like to make you aware that my husband and I originally did not want a wedding. We had seen so many friends and family get caught up in the wedding stress and it did not seem fun. We decided to do a cruise with all our friends and my mom convinced me to do a ceremony prior to boarding our cruise. We started looking at ballrooms and we were recommended this one, it was fairly close to the Port of Miami, and we were doing a 10 am ceremony/breakfast and heading straight for the cruise. What a headache right? We wanted something simple and came out with more plans. Our plan was not something common but Betty created a plan that was perfect, just for us. On May 13th, our friends and family were at the ceremony/brunch at 10 am, Betty generously offered her office and other secure rooms for our friends and family to store their luggage until we left on the cruise! We had such a beautiful ceremony, followed by delicious food and mimosas. I really cannot express how thankful I am, I had the dream wedding I did not think I wanted. Everything was perfect! After hearing so many awful stories and witnessing terrible experiences from my friends and even my sisters wedding, I recommend you come and visit Betty and her team. This will be the easiest experience for your wedding, from choosing the decor, the MC/DJ coordination, your rehearsal... everything is handled with ease, it is done correctly and professionally, you will not regret it.

At first I Thought it was a nice place and was excited to have my wedding ceremony and reception there however, a month ago I gave a $500.00 deposit to reserve the date but, life accidents happened that I am unable to do the reception but, I asked if I can at least do the ceremony and I was told a 30 min ceremony and 30 min for pictures, 50 plain chairs, NO Decorations, and the sand unity table NOT including the sand and candle would cost $1,200 with the wedding officiant, and I was told before from an employee of the renaissance at the gables that the ceremony alone would be $800.00. Which supposedly both locations are owned by the same owner. So I basically just received the ultimatum to either do a ceremony for $1,200.00 or loose my $500.00 deposit. It would have been nice if they would of at-least work with you and give you back half of your deposit. I was upset and disappointed but what can I do with that. Who would give $1,200.00 for a plain 30 min ceremony? with no DECORATIONS!!!

These people say in their contract that if you cancel they keep 50% of the payment, yet when I had to cancel due to an emergency and I went to see them in person before the event, they gave NOTHING back, and left us with over a thousand dollars short. To this day they have done nothing to redeem this situation. I highly suggest you do not do business with these people.

This is a very low budget venue. Went there for a wedding and the food was terrible. Came out cold and had little to no taste to it. The carpet was dirty and the bartender was a 70 year old woman who was terribly cranky.

Ok for events... No so friendly when the time runs out because you will go completely dark when the elder lady shoot down the lights. Other than that its an ok place for small events.
