Very helpful staff, both on the phone and at main desk. Parking IS difficult in area for a large truck with handicap chair hoist on rear. Despite parking being validated by museum we got charged full amount. The Hurricane Andrew exhibit is very good and a great reminder for citizens in hurricane-prone areas to pay close attention! I loved the People Of Miami photographic exhibit too, and the artifacts from native peoples of The Americas. The history of Florida settlement was a bit hard to follow, it seems to jump from ancient native settlements to the Spanish Armada arrival to the Henry Flagler Era, to Cuban Migration...the timeline just seemed haphazard to us. All said and done it is a beautiful facility and we had a nice time.

Un lugar que no debemos dejar de visitar muy interesante para niños, jóvenes y adultos. Su recorrido es interactivo permitiendo asimilar mayor cantidad de información. Tiene una sala de video, sonidos y una cabina de tren. Me encantó.

Be sure to visit this place with children. They need to know the history of the Miami city, the beautiful place where they live. Many patterns of events become clear. Dont forget your student ID card to receive a discount at the entrance and there are also discounts for customers of the bank of America

To charge full adult admission for a 3 year old is a rip off. They offered no price break, not even a student rate (the security guard outside the museum was even shocked). Im sure this place offers great history and exhibits but management needs to reconsider their rate structure.

It is a pretty good museum for the price. Quite affordable and depending upon your pace would take an hour or two to visit both building. I doubt it would ever be worth a return trip. One nice thing is that everything was in both English and Spanish.

Great and fun place for the entire family. Full of history. Allow 2 hours if you want to enjoy it with time and read and watch everything. A lot of history and very nice staff. Parking is $5 with validation on the museum. Accessible for wheel chairs.

This is a Museum for everyone especially if you like History and pirates. It has cannons, Spanish shipwreck treasure, Fossils, Artifacts and flint lock Pistols in its Collection. Im giving it 5 stars.

Miamis history museum. It needs more, but its a great way for people to learn about Miami as a city. I wish it had a bit more on the political and racial history of Miami though.

I went to the Frank Sinatra exhibition a few week ago and it was amazing! I highly recommend it! It will be there until June 5th! If you are a Frank Sinatra fan this is a must-go!

A very nice museum with rotating featured artists. I loved the second building, very interactive. A great job of presenting the development of South Florida.
